The SR HR Generalist will be a strategic thought partner with assigned customer groups in addition to leading broader strategies and activities across the organization.  The HR Generalist serves as a trusted advisor to deliver a robust and proactive business led HR Service with responsibility for supporting business units and HR projects in addition to fulfilling the role of employee advocate. The ideal candidate will possess:


Your responsibilities include:

  • Provide consultative support to assigned client groups on all HR needs including performance management, talent management, individual and team development, employee engagement, employee relations and change management
  • Know where to focus your energy and influence so that it is meaningful and has business impact 
  • Know the key business drivers and support senior management with effective HR support and advice
  • Work closely with business managers to identify opportunities for organizational change and transformation, proactively drive the change management process
  • Lead the talent agenda for your business area, understanding the key talent, their strengths and development needs and actively participate in talent management discussions with the business teams
  • Facilitate regular leadership and succession review sessions with client groups and implement action plans to ensure succession ready bench and development of high potentials
  • Coordinate and drive the annual performance, development and compensation review process to ensure alignment with individual, team, department and divisional objectives
  • In partnership with relevant COEs, coordinate the consolidation of HR data and analytics for the division including but not limited to quarterly human capital scorecard, organization design, headcount management
  • Perform analysis of relevant human capital metrics, uncover and interpret trends in data, and produce substantiated recommendations to deliver positive impact to the business
  • Develop and maintain appropriate benchmarks with other relevant external organizations
  • Provide leadership in the identification and description of reporting required to make HR related investment and talent management decisions and recommendations
  • Conduct gap analyses and collaborate with Talent Development to ensure appropriate career development programs are aligned with critical skill development for the function and groups
  • Coach and consult with managers and employees on issues affecting morale, performance and development, help to determine root causes and recommend appropriate next steps.
  • Conduct and manage investigations of complaints and concerns, assess root causes and recommend appropriate next steps including corrective action as needed
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to provide recruitment consultation (with a broader business/function perspective to drive proactive attraction and retention of quality candidates for current and future positions. Team member on interview team for critical/key positions
  • Support the HR Management Team on projects that support designated client groups and/or company-wide HR initiatives
    What we’re looking for:
    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business  or a related field of study
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience within a progressive Human Resources organization
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Data analysis and reporting experience in HR or a relevant business environment
  • Experience in performance management, employee relations, talent management, career development and organization design
  • Knowledge of legal implications of the employment relationship, thorough knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to HR
  • Excellent executive presentation skills with an ability to distill and present actionable information from data and analytics
  • Has worked in an environment of rapid change and changing needs from its people
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and familiarity with continuous improvement practices
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead projects in fast paced matrix organizations
  • Creative in developing communication materials for broader division
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – along with pragmatic business acumen
  •  An ability to influence leaders and drive positive change
  • Knowledge and experience working with senior management as a trusted advisor providing timely comment and input on a range of business related challenges and issues
  • A strong grasp of data and analytics with demonstrated intellectual rigor
  • A high degree of motivation, resourcefulness and positive energy
  • Willingness to progress their career with a high degree of learning agility
