Position Summary:
We are looking for a results-oriented and detail-focused Demand Planning Analyst to lead forecasting, inventory performance, and the SI&OP process for Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. This role is instrumental in improving forecast accuracy, minimizing forecast bias, and maintaining healthy inventory levels across the supply chain. A critical focus will be on managing consignment inventory planning and reconciliation, while facilitating the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP) cycle to ensure alignment between supply, demand, and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 1. Forecast Accuracy & Bias Reduction
- Generate and maintain demand forecasts in collaboration with Commercial, Marketing, and Regional Supply Chain teams.
- Analyze historical sales, promotions, and market trends to improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias.
- Use statistical models and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in forecast reliability.
🔹 2. Inventory Health & Planning
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to balance product availability with inventory efficiency.
- Define inventory targets based on demand trends, service level expectations, and product lifecycle.
- Provide visibility into inventory risks, and implement corrective actions to reduce excess and obsolescence.
🔹 3. SI&OP Process Leadership
- Own and run the monthly SI&OP process for the Puerto Rico and Caribbean region.
- Coordinate inputs from Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain to align supply with demand.
- Prepare performance reports and lead discussions to support scenario planning and informed decision-making.
🔹 4. Consignment Inventory Control
- Lead planning and control of consignment inventory, ensuring appropriate stock levels and availability in the field.
- Drive monthly reconciliation activities and maintain system accuracy.
- Develop and manage the cycle counting calendar in collaboration with the Sales team to ensure compliance and stock visibility.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, support audit readiness, and enhance inventory reliability in consigned locations.
🔹 5. Metrics and Reporting
- Design and maintain dashboards to track forecast accuracy, inventory health, service level performance, and reconciliation compliance.
- Communicate actionable insights and trends to Supply Chain leadership and regional stakeholders.
- Leverage data to recommend planning adjustments and performance improvement actions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain analysis, or inventory control.
- Strong analytical and data management skills with Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Self-starter with strong collaboration, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Preferred Competencies:
- Demonstrated experience managing consignment inventory and field stock control.
- Understanding of reconciliation, cycle counting, and compliance in regulated industries.
- Experience running or supporting SI&OP processes.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with Rapid Response (Kinaxis) or advanced planning systems is a plus.
Success in This Role Will Be Measured By:
- Improved forecast accuracy and reduction of forecast bias.
- Optimized and compliant consignment inventory management.
- Timely, aligned, and actionable SI&OP execution.
- High service levels, minimal backorders, and effective stock availability in the field.
- Delivery of reliable, data-driven planning and performance reporting.
