About the role:

  • Process Technician will be part of the manufacturing engineering team, which includes development, monitoring, improvement, and analytical work in the manufacturing processes used to manufacture the Sentinel Cerebral Protection System.
  • The technician will work closely with the manufacturing and manufacturing engineering teams in the development and analysis of materials, processes, and equipment. 
  • The technician will coordinate assembly and testing of prototype samples, including working closely with engineers to evaluate materials, develop processes, and optimize equipment. 


Your responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with Engineers to design fixtures, jigs, tooling, equipment, and processes to enable prototype development of new products.
  • Develop and document sophisticated procedures and experiments (prototype and product testing).
  • Independently work on multiple project tasks/testing and assignments for timely completion.
  • Interface with engineers, technicians, and project team members on a routine basis.
  • Repair and/or troubleshoot lab equipment, correcting processing problems as they occur.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on lab equipment.
  • Able to develop written procedures to document process of building/assembling/testing prototype parts.
  • Maintains and advances technical skills, knowledge and abilities via training and continuing education.
  • Works in a safe manner and considers safety in all aspects of job.
  • Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
  • Communicate project status to internal departments.
  • Effectively stock equipment/tooling lab with necessary supplies to build prototypes and perform testing.


What we’re looking for:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two-year Technical Degree (i.e., AA, Certificate).
  • Self-motivated with a passion for solving problems.
  • Hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • 3-5 years of experience within the medical device industry
  • Attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with manual assembled products, processes, and/or equipment.
  • Lean / Six Sigma training or certification.
  • Familiarity with the medical device industry, FDA regulations, and quality systems.
  • Proficient within Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
