About The Role:
Sr. Manufacturing Engineer leads initiatives for the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to manufacture product that meets strategic production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety).



Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Design and develop process changes and enhancements which are consistent with a zero-defect level.
  • Solve complex problems at the process level using statistical techniques including: experimental design, capability analysis, ANOVA, tolerancing, control charting, and equivalence testing. Generate effective testing reports.
  • Identify and initiate opportunities for improvement to process performance, quality systems, supply chain, or broader company objectives.
  • Use of Lean methodologies to carry out research, design, and development work of the manufacturing processes to develop methods that would help in reducing the cost without compromising on the quality standards. Including review of assembly methods, production flow and production equipment.
  • Complete projects (including process enhancements) in an aggressive manner consistent with corporate objectives. Independently determine day to day tasks.  Complete projects with exemplary documentation, leaving a legacy in design history files, specifications, etc.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of testing, designs, drawings, and processes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of competitive manufacturing technologies in addition to medical, technical, and biomedical developments related to the company’s products.
  • Provide engineering and technical support to commercial production lines.
  • Provide support in the resolution of product complaints, non-conformances, CAPAs and/or safety issues.
  • Maintain GMP systems, including pre-production quality assurance procedures, pre-clinical testing programs, and post production GMP compliance in coordination with the Document Control, Clinical, and Quality Assurance functions.
  • Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations.
  • Designs and prepares complex reports and communicates results to the technical community.
  • Coordinates, manages, and documents project goals and progress and recommends appropriate revisions.
  • Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products, or equipment.



What We’re Looking For In You:

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 5+ years related manufacturing experience in a regulated industry and/or controlled environment
  • Willingness to work in a Class 8 Controlled Environmental Room


Preferred Qualifications 

  • 5+ years related manufacturing experience in the Medical Device industry
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification
  • Mechanical design using Solid works
  • Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting skills desired
  • Statistical analysis using Minitab or JMP
