About the role: 

 

As a  Strategic Account Manager within the Healthcare Solutions & Strategy (HS&S) team, you will lead strategic engagements with key Regional public healthcare institutions, governmental bodies, in the region and payer organizations. You will be responsible for developing long-term, high-impact partnerships with strategic public sector customers, ensuring alignment between their evolving healthcare needs and Boston Scientific’s portfolio of innovative products, services, and solutions.  

 

You will play a pivotal role in navigating complex Regional public procurement processes, tender strategies, and supporting access initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders and local authorities. This client-facing role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, experience in regional tenders, and a proven track record in driving value-based healthcare initiatives within large accounts and Regions.    

 

The Strategic Account Manager will cooperate with the public affairs department to ensure resources and activities are aligned with the strategic priorities in the region.  

 

 

 

In this role, you will be responsible to: 

 

  • This position is tasked with driving strategic account management collaboration across the company's six different business divisions within the cluster to ensure there is a single coherent solution and engagement strategy in place for these key customers.  

 

  • Establish professional relationships internally and within assigned key customers, develop and reinforce relationships at the C-Suite level. 

 

  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs and strategic objectives on an ongoing basis. 

 

  • Proactively leads the Strategic account mapping and planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones for a mid-term period.  

 

  • Lead cross divisional and cross functional contract negotiations involving all company products – enabling practical inclusion of value-adds and realization of savings including product innovation and services & solutions.  

 

  • Co-ordinate involvement of Boston Scientific’s divisions and functions within the focus accounts in order to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.  

 

  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.  

 

  • Participate in regular reviews of top accounts at a Country, Cluster and European level. Track growth and Market Share in top accounts vs other accounts and sales in top accounts versus plan.  

 

  • Act as an ambassador of the Solutions initiative and of Outcomes Selling within the company.   

 

  • Promote Boston Scientific innovation and drive whole system value of key technologies. 

 

  • Partner with Healthcare Economics and Market Access team to monitor reimbursement trends, develop and execute the approach to include new technologies and maintain Boston Scientific products in the reimbursement system.  

 

 

 

What are we looking for in you: 

 

  • 5+ Years’ experience of a strategies selling or strategic account manager position in Healthcare; 

 

  • Experience in managing public tenders and innovating purchasing; 

 

  • Proven experience of influential leadership role within a matrix organization; 

 

  • Demonstrate a passion for Customers; 

 

  • Understands the local healthcare ecosystem; 

 

  • A good balance of strategic mindset and pragmatic approach when it comes to managing accounts; 

 

  • Excellent Sales acumen, familiar with long race/long-term/continuous engagement sales cycle; 

 

  • Exemplary team spirit, values success through collective achievement; 

 

  • Inspiring and engaging in communication, internally and externally; 

 

  • Create trustful environments, internally and with clients; 

 

  • Fluency in English and Spanish. 

 

  • Preferably residing in Andalusia
