Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a plan that maximizes BSC's overall operating income for a Country or, a Franchise across countries.  Develop objectives, strategies, tactics and action plans to support the plan consistent with the BSC divisional strategic plan.
  • Ensure BSC's Quality Policy and Guidelines are understood by the Distributor.
  • Ensure that all of our business, sales and marketing activities with the Distributor are legally and ethically compliant, without compromising our code of conduct, and the principles stated in BSC Corporate Integrity Program.
  • Ensure the Distributor understands our Code of Conduct and Corporate Integrity Policy and have been trained accordingly.
  • Ensure that any and all potential code of conduct issues are immediately reported through the appropriate channels.
  • Develop and execute both short and long range sales plans and programs to ensure revenue, gross profit, and sales process objectives are achieved across their portfolio of Distributors.
  • Leverage deep understanding of the market and distributor's business to identify how BSC's products provide a value-added solution.
  • Negotiate key contract terms with distributor, while sustaining strong distributor relationships.
  • Continuously look for new ways to improve product and service offerings to reflect changing business needs and identify additional applications for existing products
  • Provide advanced consulting regarding projects to address distributors on business issues, such as: workflow, management, product mix, promotion, shipping, inventory management, etc.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and proactively identify forecast risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate with the marketing team on the development and execution of new product launches to ensure the distributor's sales team is properly prepared upon completion.
  • Facilitate communication between the Distributor and Regulatory regarding product registration.  This will promote a timely registration process and ensure that appropriate action is taken when necessary.

  • May lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals.  Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.

  • Applies understanding of the business and industry standards and how own area integrates with others to achieve unit objectives; monitors business trends and market developments in own field
  • Manages a team of professional employees, may occasionally have subordinate M1/M2s; adapts plans and priorities to meet team service, business and/or operational objectives
  • Recommends operating policies and establishes procedures and approaches for team(s) managed; identifies and drives business, product, service and process improvements
  • Identifies and resolves functional, technical, operational and organizational problems in a specialized area of expertise based on existing policies, procedures and solutions
  • Considers multiple sources of information to proactively identify the best course of action for teams managed
  • Adapts plans and processes to meet business, operational, service and/or project challenges; reprioritizes objectives, milestones, etc. as required
  • Makes decisions that impact the finances, results, effectiveness and level of service provided by the team
  • Guides by using policies, resource requirements, budgets and team plan, impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives
  • Influences others either internally or externally to build collaborative relationships, achieve goals and effectively guide them to understand more complex issues
  • Participates in briefings and technical meetings concerning specific project, operations and schedules
  • Operates with a high level of discretion to gain cooperation of others
