About the Role
We are seeking a Portfolio Strategy Manager to accelerate the commercialization of our Interventional Cardiology portfolio, with a primary focus on China and a broader mandate across APAC. This role ensures China’s market needs are prioritized, launches are accelerated, and regional portfolio strategies are connected into global decision-making.
Working across regulatory, clinical, market access, and commercial functions, you will play a critical role in aligning global strategy with local execution—ensuring the right pathways are in place to bring new therapies to patients faster.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy & Planning
- Shape APAC and, especially, China portfolio strategies, identifying gaps, high-priority products, and growth opportunities.
- Act as a key voice for China in APAC and global portfolio reviews, influencing pipeline and investment decisions.
- Play a critical role in long-term strategic planning, contributing market insights, portfolio perspectives, and business cases.
- Contribute to market mapping, business sizing, and portfolio analytics to guide investment priorities.
Commercialization & Market Acceleration
- Lead pre-commercialization planning for priority therapies, with defined workstreams across regulatory, reimbursement, clinical, and medical affairs.
- Support business cases for new product launches and geographic expansion of top-priority products, ensuring clear timelines and cross-functional input.
- Track commercialization KPIs and milestones, creating visibility for global, regional, and local stakeholders.
- Provide limited but focused support for downstream marketing activities, where needed to resolve major strategic challenges.
Portfolio Optimization
- Review and refine the product mix in APAC to ensure portfolio sustainability and profitability.
- Ensure global division understands APAC’s sustaining needs alongside new product introductions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner closely with country leaders, especially China, APAC executives, and global divisions to align commercialization priorities.
- Build ongoing collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (Regulatory, Clinical, HEOR, Finance, Supply Chain) to drive execution.
- Engage Chinese and regional KOLs to ensure customer perspectives inform commercialization and evidence planning.
- Drive local partnerships and relationships with select OEMs and suppliers to ensure portfolio R&D and supplier onboarding are efficient.
- Act as a Key Account Manager (KAM) for critical Interventional Cardiology OEMs and partners, strengthening collaboration and ensuring strategic alignment.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, Master’s, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in commercial, marketing, or strategic roles within the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Proven track record of managing portfolio strategy, commercialization planning, or market access initiatives, preferably across multiple APAC markets.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders in a matrixed global organization.
- Experience working closely with regulatory, clinical, and reimbursement functions.
- Background in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, or other relevant therapeutic areas strongly preferred.
- Background in management consulting would be highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical ability, with experience building business cases and market entry strategies.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, including ability to engage with senior leadership and external KOLs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese.
- Ability to operate effectively across diverse cultures and geographies.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

- Willingness to travel across China, APAC and globally (up to 30–40%).
