Key Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for providing HR leadership and guidance to client group(s) in competency development, succession planning, talent management, talent acquisition, labor relations, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement, including:
    • Identifying learning needs and work with L&D to deliver programs to close skills gaps; evaluate internal/external programs for specific functional needs.
    • Developing and implementing programs to foster a strong culture of engagement from employees.
    • Implementing culture change initiatives to support the company’s culture and business goals.
    • Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide insights into the pulse of the organization. 
  • Set strategic direction and participate in the design, development and execution of organizational effectiveness and development programs. Conduct assessments and provide a clear picture of the current state and develop action plans to support achievement of organization objectives;
    • Lead the review of span and layers, work with line leaders on organizational structure to build required capabilities and lead implementation/change management. 
  • Coach and consult with management on issues affecting morale, performance, development and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps;
    • Lead the implementation of effective performance planning, management and feedback/communication processes.
  • Present, train and/or facilitate workforce development programs.  Support communication on and utilization of performance management tools & processes and compensation & rewards programs.
  • Provide guidance and direction to client group(s) to ensure consistent, equal and fair treatment of all employees.  Consult with managers to ensure the consistent application of and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Leverage HR Centers of Excellence to address and satisfy the strategic needs of the business. Apply knowledge of key business drivers in making long-range strategic decisions related to human capital.
  • Responsible for identifying gaps between current organizational capabilities, required competencies and skills, and the future strategic objectives of the function.
  • Introduce, lead, and influence change management initiatives with function or country group leaders in order to address issues that will enhance overall performance and build the overall human capital capability of the organization.
  • Conduct and manage investigation of complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals and facilitate appropriate action based on policy and practice.

Management requirements

 

May lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals.  Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.

Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.

May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.

Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).

 

Role requirements

 

  • The ideal candidate should possess at least 12 years of relevant experiences in a similar capacity of working in a highly matrixed, fast paced environment across different cultures
  • This role requires someone who possesses a strategic mindset with the ability to execute flawlessly and drive for results.
  • Ability to foster excellent partnership with the COE as well as being hands-on to drive HR operational efficiency
  • Strong influencing skills, communication skills and a high level of finesse / executive presence when dealing with senior leaders and all employees within the business.
  • Possess great interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively and flex easily according to the demands of the business, organization, and different stakeholder
  • Strong understanding of local labor laws and best HR practices
