Lead and execute the market access strategy for Boston Scientific across Growth Markets, including Southeast Asia (SEA) and India. This role has a focus on policy shaping, reimbursement, advocacy, and evidence generation. The goal is to ensure timely and sustainable patient access to BSC’s innovative technologies through strategic engagement with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Leads the design and implementation of HEMA programs that support divisional and country business objectives. Drives market share growth for franchise products by developing market strategies and leveraging relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). Represents Boston Scientific in external forums and policy discussions, positioning the company as a trusted partner in shaping healthcare access.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a high-performing, geographically dispersed team, empowering team members to drive functional excellence while ensuring alignment with the overarching strategy.
  • Build relationships in key markets with government, physician, hospital, and third-party payer decision makers.
  • Monitor policy developments that impact the reimbursement of BSC products, maintain awareness of industry, healthcare, and economic trends.
  • Develop and maintain communication pathways with senior management, advising them on all matters relating to legislation and public policy issues of interest and concern to Boston Scientific and the medical device industry.
  • Working with regional and global teams, design and oversee health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) and real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives to support reimbursement, adoption, and value-based procurement.
  • Translate clinical and economic data into value messaging that resonates with payers, policymakers, and provider networks.
  • Manage provision of appropriate in-service training to sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and legal to increase awareness and understanding of health economics and outcomes research competency and its role in supporting a product’s success.
  • Manage the preparation of clinical and economic dossiers for submission to health authorities, technology assessment boards, and payers.
  • Provide strategic support to divisional and country business leaders on access risks, pricing, and opportunity mapping.

QUALIFICATIONS

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in health economics, public health, life sciences, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in market access, HEMA, or health policy, ideally within the MedTech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record in reimbursement strategy development, policy engagement, and evidence generation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with experience navigating complex stakeholder landscapes in ASEAN and India.
  • Familiarity with ASEAN and India healthcare systems, including public reimbursement processes and government frameworks.
  • Drive market share growth by unlocking new opportunities through access expansion and value demonstration.
