Role Responsibilities

 

1. HR Business Partner for APAC HQ

       - Management of employee’s life cycle from recruitment, performance management, development, engagement to termination.

 

       - Talent Acquisition

  • Co-ordinate all operational aspects of internal and external recruitment and selection, including development/review of job description, advertisement, internal job posting, external third party and online agencies, and preparation of interview guide.
  • Prepare employment contract and follow through pre-employment preparation, e.g. employment verification, preparing of announcement notification, etc.
  • Onboarding for APAC HQ employees located in Singapore.
  • Negotiate and select search consultant.
  • Monitor applicants, track speed to hire, follow-up with hiring manager and search consultant to close the hiring in timely manner. 

     

       -Talent Management

  • Identify leadership gaps, identify talent, develop and track execution of development plans, and retention, to build a sustainable talent base.

       - Performance Management

  • Lead the implementation of effective performance planning, management and feedback/communication processes.

      - Organization design and development

  • Lead the review of span and layers, work with line leaders on organizational structure to build required capabilities and lead implementation/change management.
  • Implement career paths and competency development work.

       - L&D

  • Identify learning needs and work with L&D to deliver programs to close skills gaps; evaluate internal/external programs for specific functional needs.

       - Engagement

  • Develop and implement programs to foster a strong culture of engagement from employees.
  • Implement culture change initiatives to support the company's culture and business goals.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide insights into the pulse of the organization.

 

2.   Building Leadership Pipeline for the Future/ Employer Branding

  • Manage campus recruitment, internship program and employer branding.

 

3.  Employment Policies and Benefits Administration

  •         Ensure all employment and benefits policies are current and updated.
  •         Administer APAC Catalyst Program (President’s Club); manage the awards nomination and selection process; obtain feedback from stakeholders and implement improvements.

 

 4. HRIS

  • APAC HQ employees - maintain accurate and up-to-date HR information on all HRIS and maintain up-to-date HR information in Personnel files (hardcopy or system).
  • Audit database accuracy for all APAC countries.

 

 5.   Payroll Operations

  • Provide accurate and timely payroll processing for local and expatriate employees.

 

        6.   Administer Global and APAC Assignment Program 

  •     Administer the Global and APAC Assignment Program. 
  •     Provide guidance to Country HR on Corporate and APAC Assignment Policies.

 

       7.   APAC HR Portal

  • APAC owner of APAC HR Portal; ensure HR policies and procedures for all countries are current and accessible; monitor effectiveness & recommend improvements.

 

      8.   Efficient and Effective Operations

  •        Continuously strive to improve HR operations to increase efficiency in terms of time, cost and quality:
  • Standardize and improve HR processes and the use of e-technology
  • Reduce transactional costs through outsourcing opportunities
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for operations.
  • Interact effectively with external vendors of HR related services.
  • Maintains BSC ethical and compliance standards.

 

    9.   Management Reporting and Analytics – APAC  

  • Provide reports to local authority as required.
  • Generate accurate and timely Turnover and HC reports on a regular basis.
  • Provide reports, data analysis, customized data/reports and analysis, and ad-hoc reports as requested.

 

    10.   Support to APAC HQ and VP, HR APAC

  • Employee Engagement Survey and SPARK Survey - follow-up, update APAC LT on status of actions taken.
  • Manage programs and projects, as and when required.

 

 

Requirements

To be considered, you will have a minimum of 10 years of direct hands on experience in a broad HR position responsible for, but not limited to, recruitment, talent management, employee engagement and organisational design.  You will possess strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with senior business stakeholders and collaborate with peers across the APAC region and globally.  Your previous experience in medical devices will be highly beneficial with solid exposure to key business areas such as interventional cardiology, endoscopy and peripheral intervension.  This is an individual contributor position and will require the person to be directly hands on in performing the tasks under their responsibility.
