Purpose Statement

 

Reporting to the Vice President Commercial Excellence, the Head of EDUCARE for APAC leads the strategic development and technical implementation roadmap of Boston Scientific’s EDUCARE portal in the Asia Pacific region. Scaling of the APAC EDUCARE portal is one of the priorities of APAC Digital Center of Excellence and APAC Strategic Plan.  

 

This role also leads the tech teams working on development of the website along with the regional hub team in support of the BU’s and countries’ HCP training and education needs. This role will ensure that BU’s are supported with the most relevant and contemporary technology and data solutions to achieve their HCP training and education needs, through the EDUCARE portal. The leader ensures that our customers enjoy a globally consistent world-class training and education experience.  

 

Roles & responsibilities

 

  • Overall management and leading the development and adoption of APAC EDUCARE platform across the region.  
  • Creation and deployment of a best-in-class online customer training and education experience. 
  • The role identifies customer-centric training solutions, strategy and implementation in line with Boston Scientific’s commercial efforts in order to digitize and centralize our training and education efforts. 
  • Planning and streamlining tech map for next generation website functionality including Login functionality, Product Filtering, Media Player, Testing platforms, and personalization. 
  • Management (with IT) of bsc.com vendor partners including Adobe, salesforce.com, Accenture and other partners). 
  • Management and development of the core hub team members, serving BU’s and APAC countries for maximizing uptake of the portal across the region.  
  • Lead relationships with cross functional teams at country, region and globe to execution of the division and country specific training solution requirements as identified by the Product Owner,  
  • Spends significant time in stakeholder management across legal and regulatory functions, to ensure the content strategy of the portal is in line with the latest PSST requirements. 
  • Partner with Global EDUCARE CoE to ensure APAC is delivering a globally consistent HCP education experience as well as closely collaborate with the global EDUCARE leadership to ensure we are well resourced and positioned to execute on the tech and content roadmap.  
  • Envisioning and executing BSC’s Global ‘Connected Sales – Marketing Ecosystem’ Strategy for APAC. 
  • Defining and prioritizing BSC marketing requirements for APAC EDUCARE portal.  
  • Support Marketing cloud and Sales Cloud team to bring to life the ‘Closed Loop Marketing’ integrated technology system enabling analysis on training and education needs of HCPs and website performance measurement. 
  • Working with regional communications team, to drive the portal through Social Media (LinkedIn, Twitter) 
  • Directly manages a hub team consisting of Product Owner and Content Management Specialists. Along with a dotted line reporting of two outsourced technology teams (from Accenture) comprising of 10-15 developers. 
  • Assess and recommend emerging technology solutions to ensure the learning journey for HCPs are well supported. 
  • Lead the effort to evangelize the capabilities of these new technologies with the appropriate BU and country stakeholders ensuring they understand what capabilities are available to them and how best to leverage them.  
  • Leads APAC EDUCARE Budget planning ensuring we adhere to Strat Plans and AOP budgets. 
  • Clearly tell the story of APAC EDUCARE delivers business value and drives greater effectiveness and efficiency to meet HCP training requirements.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, 8-10+ years of relevant experience within the Digital learning platform 
  • Proven People Leadership capability managing a team with experience building and managing lead generation campaigns  
  • Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights. 
  • Proven ability to brainstorm new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing. 
  • Strong business case/user story development and implementation experience 
  • Strong digital marketing acumen and a proven track record of developing and selling impactful marketing communication programs that drive business results. 
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing digital communications programs driving customers through a decision journey.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well within a matrix organization and to influence teams to accomplish common goals and objectives; effective relationship building skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment 
  • Strong stakeholder management experience across markets in APAC including Japan, China, Australia and Korea. 
  • Experience work in/with sales teams and marketing teams in APAC region. 
  • Thoughtful, strategic and without fear of recommending innovative approaches 
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with demonstrated success at working under deadlines with tight timeframes. 
  • Strong data analysis skills: able to collect and analyze business information and draw accurate conclusions. 
  • Experience in building and implementing a new digital plan in consumer goods, technology, medical device, biopharma or healthcare fields. 
  • Demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset towards complex challenges with high sense of urgency. 
  • Proven success as part of a cross functional team working in/with a multi-cultural work environment.  
  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in order to positively impact business performance  
  • Fluency in English
