Purpose Statement:
Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced Cloud Services Engineer to join our Commercial Innovations team in APAC, located in Singapore. You will design, deploy and scale cloud & IoT solutions that power bold new initiatives such as next‑gen remote case education innovation and capital‑equipment fleet management. Acting as the technical bridge between product, R&D and clinical teams, you will ensure that connected MedTech solutions are secure, compliant and deliver outstanding end‑user value.

The Opportunity : Reporting to the Head of Commercial Innovations in APAC, will play a pivotal role in shaping the solutions we design and ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of our integrated MedTech solutions globally. Collaborate closely with regional and local capability teams, capital equipment teams, hospital IT systems and our A.I. analytics teams. You will partner with fellow innovation specialists to pilot, and scale services that turn device data into actionable insights—enabling Boston Scientific to empower education, support and drive meaningful patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture & Deployment – Design, implement and operate secure, HIPAA/GDPR‑compliant cloud environments (AWS/Azure) for data ingestion, storage and analytics.
- IoT Integration & Fleet Management – Develop device‑to‑cloud connectivity, OTA update pipelines and dashboards that monitor health of capital equipment fleets across APAC.
- Project Leadership – Own end‑to‑end project plans (e.g., next‑gen remote case education innovation), budgets and risk logs; align milestones with cross‑functional stakeholders and external vendors.
- Stakeholder Engagement and reporting – Translate technical roadmaps for commercial leaders and HCPs; gather feedback to iterate on features and SLAs. Develop, analyse and communicate adoption metrics,
- Remote case support (RCS) and knowledge transfer – leverage experience in RCS to assist HCPs in Cath lab/procedure rooms, provide on-site support, create playbooks and empower on the ground sales, IT and clinical teams.
- Security, Compliance & Quality – Ensure that all innovation initiatives comply with relevant global healthcare regulations, global R&D, QA, compliance, IT and regulatory standard including those related to AI, data privacy (including HIPAA, GDPR, and PDPA), and safety.
- Continuous Improvement – Instrument services for availability, performance and cost; drive post‑launch optimisations using data‑driven insights and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and standards.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience, including 3+ years architecting and operating cloud solutions for connected devices or healthcare applications.
- Demonstrated expertise with AWS or Azure services (e.g., IoT Core, Lambda/Functions, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS, RDS/Managed DB).
- Solid understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT, HTTPS, BLE) and device telemetry.
- Proven project‑management skills managing complex, multi‑market roll‑outs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in multicultural teams.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications (Good-to-Have):
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- Prior hands‑on experience in healthcare / MedTech environments, comfortable navigating clinical workflows and regulatory constraints (e.g., FDA, EU MDR, MOH).
- Experience with capital‑equipment telematics, predictive maintenance analytics and hospital IT standards (HL7, FHIR).
- Knowledge of data‑stream processing (Kafka/Kinesis) and CI/CD pipelines in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with change‑management methodologies (Agile, PMP).
- Proficiency in one scripting language (Python, Typescript, or similar).
- Familiarity with change management principles and practices.
- Certification or training in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile).
