Purpose statement

 

Health systems in APAC are evolving and decision-makers are increasingly looking for evidence of value to support reimbursement and therapy adoption. We are seeking a HEMA professional to join our dynamic regional team and lead health economics, reimbursement and market access strategies for key products across our Neuromodulation (NMD) and Rhythm Management (RM) divisions.

 

What we are looking for in you:

 

The role reports to the Director of HEMA for APAC, and will collaborate closely with global, regional and country regulatory, medical, HEMA, marketing and commercial teams. 

 

Location: No relocation will be made within country in APAC

 
  • Lead the development and execution of HEMA strategies to support premium reimbursement and patient access for key Neuromodulation and Rhythm Management technologies in APAC.
  • Proactively engage with Divisional stakeholders to ensure APAC market requirements are considered throughout the BSC product development, evidence generation and commercialization processes.
  • Partner with Global, Regional and Local stakeholders to optimize investments in clinical and economic outcomes planning, research and publication.
  • Localize tools, messages and programs associated with NMD and RM portfolios, including localization of budget impact/cost effectiveness models and dossiers.
  • Work with physician key opinion leaders on the development of economic abstracts and publications to support key technologies in our Neuromodulation and Rhythm Management portfolios.
  • Collaborate with relevant societies, informing society position statements and guidelines reflective of community standards of care
  • Identify and develop value-based procurement solutions for economic customers.
  • Engage medical technology stakeholders through consortia, APACMed and other regional organizations relevant to NMD and CRM portfolios.
  • Build relationships with government, physicians, hospital, and third-party payer decision makers.
  • Develop and execute training for sales, marketing, clinical and HEMA colleagues.
  • Establish regional processes, such as best practice sharing, that: a) support local teams, b) build an institutional memory, and c) grow HEMA as a core business partner.
  • Advise senior management on implications of regional reimbursement or legislative changes that affect adoption or coverage.

 

Requirements:

 

  • The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills in health economics and market access. This position requires the candidate to be current in the field and able to work in a wide array of settings.
  • Advanced knowledge and a proven track record of securing reimbursement in key APAC markets.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience in the region eg. industry/HTA body/payer experience. Experience in the pharma/device space is a significant advantage.
  • Formal training in health economics, public health, health services research, policy analysis, epidemiology, biostatistics, health care administration or related discipline preferred.
  • Ability to develop and adapt health economics models will be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of APAC healthcare systems including expertise in health care financing, reimbursement policies related to the device industry, and technology assessment. 
  • Ability to interpret and integrate business strategies into actionable, value-added health economics and reimbursement initiatives.
  • Strong communications skills and experience developing interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track record of strong project management in matrix organization
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions independently and to work in a fast-paced matrix environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to work across different cultures
  • Lead a cross functional project team in the achievement of organizational goals. 
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • May direct and control the activities in product groups and projects/programs for  relevent divisions
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements)
