Responsible for overseeing and maintaining inventory levels at various field locations, ensuring accurate stock levels, and optimizing the supply chain processes. This position requires a hands-on approach with onsite cycle count, strong attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and track inventory levels at multiple field locations, ensuring adequate stock to meet operational needs.
- Perform regular physical usage search and reconcile discrepancies between actual stock and recorded inventory.
- Develop and maintain inventory reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data collection and analysis.
- Assist with forecasting inventory needs based on project timelines, consumption rates, and seasonal demand fluctuations.
- Ensure inventory rotation to minimize write off especially for slow moving or short expiry items.
Field Operations Support:
- Serve as the main point of contact for Sales Teams regarding inventory-related issues, including ordering, restocking, and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Work closely with Sales Teams to ensure smooth, efficient processes for inventory handling and reporting.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- To provide insights on stock levels, trends, and usage patterns to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Identify and address inventory issues such as overstock, stockouts, or slow-moving items.
- Use inventory management software or spreadsheets to track, report, and manage inventory data.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to inventory control processes and field operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory flow and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2-4 years of experience in inventory management, field operations, or supply chain management.
- Previous experience in a field-based inventory management role or in the logistics/supply chain industry is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and software (e.g., SAP, Excel).
- Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with field staff, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems in real-time.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
