Purpose Statement


  • Be a single point contact for project Magellan for Sales Operations related to the process maps of sales operations in each country/region and BU in APAC (as necessary).

  • Support APAC IT Roadmap with clarity on Sales Operations processes in different countries.

  • Improve Sales Operations by sharing best practices.


Roles & responsibilities


  • Be the central APAC lead and coordinate with a team for Sales/Commercial Operations Managers from APAC countries to become the regional center of excellence to sales operations

  • Be the single point of contact in strategic projects in APAC (these may be across the region or specific to a country/countries), providing user requirements where necessary, information on sales processes and practices, sharing pain points/opportunities, conducting, as the lead, the necessary functional governance meetings across the region and other responsibilities as they arise from such programs.

  • Scope of process to be included in Sales Operations to be finalized but may include:

  • Pricing process

  • Master data management

  • Sales general skills training

  • Reporting & analytics

  • Compensation administration

  • Contracting

  • Sales & Marketing systems center of excellence (e.g. salesforce/cloud, etc.)


  • Act as the project lead in providing direction to the team to manage the overall mapping of processes across the region in a prioritized way and link back to the requirements for Magellan project.

  • Work with country teams to identify and map core processes of sales, sales operations (including interfaces with customer care, marketing, finance, and others) for the countries in the APAC region.

  • Prioritize the mapping of sales operations processes for the countries in Asia Pacific, standardize sales operations processes within region, using global processes and external competitors’ practices as benchmark.

  • Maintain and improve these processes as new technology and best practices are made available. Identify opportunities for standardization, improvements and/or further support where there is a current unmet need for processes in sales, sales operations (including interfaces with customer care, marketing, finance, and others).

  • Hold appropriate councils to gather feedback and align direction/best practices with SMEs and country leads – prioritizing what areas of focus should be improved next

  • Interface with Salesforce, Sales Operations, Field Support, Pricing & Contracts, and other departments as necessary to determine processes, system, and technical needs.

  • Support in evaluation of longer-term system needs for Sales departments, and work toward integrating systems into more user friendly and enabling uses.

  • Support in identifying new technologies and future trends to be used in guiding business and meeting longer term strategic imperatives.

  • Work with different department heads in Sales to determine and implement metrics to measure and monitor process performance and effectiveness.

  • For opportunities identified, this person is responsible for where required pulling together initial business cases and problem statements to initiate projects, when opportunities are not “just do its”. Where resources are limited, this person is responsible for prioritizing the list of potential opportunities (based on estimated value/ease of completion or otherwise) and aligning proposals with management on priorities.

  • May lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals.  Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.

  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.

  • May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).




  • Candidates should possess  8-12 years of relevant experiences in managing sales operation processes on a regional level

  • Experienced in consulting background with proven track records are highly preferred although not a mandate

  • An excellent communicator with fluency in both written and spoken English

  • An exceptional high EQ with the ability to manage all levels of stakeholders and complexity

  • Highly analytical coupled with strong stakeholder management skills

  • Works under minimal supervision with the ability to independently determines and develops various approaches to solutions

  • Strong in mapping processes and developing process roadmap on a regional platform

  • Bring about the best practices in working towards a centralized function 

  • Able to work on issues of moderate to complex nature where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.

  • Travelling required as and when needed
