Purpose Statement

 

This Business Development Manager role is responsible for market and commercial development of Neuromodulation business throughout ASEAN region. Focus on product positioning, market penetration, training, market intelligence, and collaboration with sales team and channel partners to capture and broaden BSC's market share in existing and potential markets and drive revenue growth.

 

Roles and responsibilities: 

 

  • Business Development: Identify and open new business opportunities and accounts in areas of Deep Brain Stimulation, Spinal Cord Stimulation, and Radiofrequency Ablation therapies across ASEAN region. Further penetrate into existing accounts by developing and leveraging relationships with key hospitals and physicians in the relevant specialties; Develop and execute business strategies and activities with the country sales team and channel partners. Establish clear and prioritized commercial strategy and collaborate closely with local teams on execution.
  • Clinical Excellence: Ensures clinical success through the education and training of physicians and hospital staff. Limited case support for key/new accounts required.
  • Building and Maintaining Relationships: build and maintain relationship with key opinion leaders in the region, seeking to leverage profitable business ventures; Assist key customers in creation, expansion and startup of related educational courses and forums.
  • Industry Knowledge : Maintains knowledge of industry trends and their impact on franchise short-term and long-term business plans to improve marketing and sales strategies; Collects market and competitor information to enable the formation of business strategy plan. Franchise/Product Expertise: Advisor / expert of diseases and products; Maintains the skills and knowledge for the entire product line and be the go-to person for the entire franchise portfolio in ASEAN region.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and alignement with regional/global marketing personnel and sales/country management on regular basis.
  • Ensure alignment with other functions (Finance, Supply Chain, Health Economics, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality).
  • Ensure awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
  • Participate in driving quality awareness in every employee, while guiding the local organization towards improved performance and customer-oriented initiatives.
  • Work with and manage distributors to help achieve sales goal and collaborate on market development and marketing initiatives

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degrees in business, marketing, or related field in healthcare/medical device industry.
  • At least 7 years of sales/marketing/BD experiences.
  • Relevant background with knowledge in the Neuromodulation space will be highly preferred.
  • Experience in developing go-to-market models and the ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work across different cultures with good understanding of the ASEAN markets will be an added advantage.
  • Proven sales track records and ability to display strong partnership with various demographic of clientele base.
