About the role: 
This role performs and supervises equipment maintenance activities including complex preventative maintenance and repair of equipment. Coordinates timely execution of preventative and corrective maintenance activities on production equipment, thus maximizing equipment availability. Documents equipment maintenance and maintains stocking levels of spare parts.  Supervises and schedules the daily activities of the equipment support department.  Assists in development of less skilled technicians and creation of a teamwork environment in the department. Establishes and analyzes metrics for key equipment reliability indicators. Facilitate change management as scope production lines transfer from Spencer, Indiana to Clonmel, Ireland.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise and assign day to day maintenance activities including regularly scheduled preventive maintenance of production equipment, according to the company’s standard operating procedures, safety policies, Federal QSR, and ISO 9001 International Standards.  
  • Ensures the quality-recorded information on equipment maintenance and/or repair forms.
  • Supervise and train technicians in the assembly, modification, troubleshooting, repair and documentation of complex production equipment.
  • Ensure production maintenance efficiency by cost, customer service, and customer response time analysis.  Establish metrics for all key indicators in the department such as equipment availability, meantime to repair, failure root cause, spare part consumption, etc.
  • Responsible for the overall maintenance of spare parts availability, accessibility, controls and cost.  Places purchase orders for spare parts, and maintains stocking levels of spare parts.
  • Analyze causes of equipment failures and assist or coordinate in resolution. Works with teammates in pursuing improvements or changes to enhance equipment availability
  • Maintain cleanroom standards, practices, and housekeeping according to standard operating procedures. 
  • Use necessary safety equipment and make sure of its proper use by personnel under their supervision.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities during shut down of production areas under their supervision.
  • Supervise technicians assigned to the production area by overseeing the development of personnel, managing schedules, executing disciplinary actions as required, overseeing the good use of tools and equipment and developing an environment of respect, accountability and safety.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field
  • 5+ years of experience in related field
  • 3+ years in equipment maintenance and reliability
  • Previous supervisory and/or people management experience


Preferred qualifications:

  • Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification or similar practical knowledge
  • Ability to take initiative, delegate authority and be persistent in pursing resolutions to production equipment maintenance issues
  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to enforce company policies and procedures
  • Experience with asset management systems (Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Management preferred)
  • Experience with preventative maintenance asset management systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and group presentation skills
  • Possess a working knowledge of equipment troubleshooting
