With access to state-of-the-art tools, information, and training, we’re committed to supporting your growth and helping you advance your career.  We are seeking a Senior Production Planner to join our Materials Teams at Spencer; this position offers significant exposure across core functional areas, and you will be playing a pivotal role in our S&OP process ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently.

 

This role requires an onsite workmode, 4 days a week, from our Spencer, IN office. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time. Boston Scientific cannot support relocation for this role.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly planning processes for a product line.
  • Proactively manage backorder and risk communications, ensuring service level and on-time delivery (OTDM) objectives are met.
  • Facilitate the SI&OP process, communicating constraints and performance plans.
  • Manage net requirements, past due orders, and order reservations.
  • Engage with purchasing, core teams, and global supply partners.
  • Support new product schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage KPI performance:  DIOH,  OTDM, OTDS.
  • Contributes to the development of sister sites-inbound inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain and update master data.
  • Participate in the planning, execution, and finalization of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team to complete product End of Life activities.
  • Train associates on planning processes.

 

Required qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain 
  • Strong Analytical skills with ability to structure and perform data analysis
  • Experience being on a project team for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Working experience with Kinaxis/Rapid Response & SAP

 

Preferred qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business
  • Effective Communication: Cultivates internal and external business relationships, using diplomacy and tact in interactions and problem-solving.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Develops solutions to moderately complex problems, exercising judgment to determine appropriate actions and understanding their business impact.
  • Organizational Skills: Plans, organizes, and prioritizes daily work routines to meet established schedules and ensures smooth project progression.
  • Mentorship and Team Development: Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Preferred APICS certification – CPIM or CSCP or equivalent program

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
