About the role:
Boston Scientific in Spencer, Indiana is searching for a Senior Supply Chain Planner to join their team. The Production Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling production activities to meet customer service level objectives while always assuring a continuous production flow. In addition, the Planner will be supporting, monitoring and maintaining, in an accurate and timely manner, work-in-process, manufacturing schedules for top level and subassemblies, inventory levels, system integrity, to achieve the materials management objectives. The ideal candidate will possess the requisite skills and aptitude to provide cross-functional support and plan a product line.


Your responsibilities will include:  


  • Creates and manages daily, weekly and monthly production build plans.
  • Planning support for a product line.
  • Proactively manage and communicate backorder and/or risks.
  • Achieve service level and on time delivery (OTDM) objectives.
  • Manage net requirements, past due production orders, past due planned orders and order reservations.
  • Provide inventory analysis as required or requested.
  • Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement Process, contributing VIP’s.
  • Engage with purchasing, core teams, and global supply partners as needed.
  • Facilitate manufacturing planning handshake during the SI&OP Process Identifies and communicates constraints and performance to plan.
  • Maintains master data for make and procured material as required.
  • Manage, schedule and train associates in set up of new product.
  • Demonstrate ability to train an associate on the Planning Processes and provide site training on supply chain basics.
  • Lead and/or be an active team member in materials department and plant projects.
  • Must comply with requirements of ISO 14001 and BSC Environmental, Health and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.


What we're looking for in you: 
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a similar degree
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, demand planning, or the supply chain function
  • Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Experience with ERP software systems (SAP preferred)
