Title: R&D Engineer Intern - Leads & Implantable Hardware

Department: Cardiac Rhythm Management Diagnostics (CRMDx)

Our Purpose: 

  • Our R&D engineers are tasked with designing and developing implant products for the Cardiac Rhythm Management Diagnostics (CRMDx) group. This includes technologies that monitor, support diagnosis and treat irregular heart rhythms, heart failure, and sudden cardiac arrest. CRMDx provides devices and therapies for a patient’s entire continuum of care, from diagnostic to treatment. This division strives to innovate and create a paradigm shift that can solve unmet clinical needs and change what is possible for patients.

Your Impact:

Examples of meaningful work by R&D Engineering Interns: 

  • Designing, fabricating, and testing prototype devices to address clinical feedback. 

  • Analyzing large clinical databases to inform device design and procedural technique. 

  • Viewing live and recorded clinical procedures and developing test methods to replicate use. 

  

Required Qualifications: 

  • Current rising junior or rising senior (grad dates between Dec 2025 - May 2027), graduating senior (May 2025 grad) continuing on to grad school, or current grad student working towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or with an Electrical Engineering emphasis/minor. Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship to qualify.    

  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction/immigration sponsorship.

  • Must have knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis.
