About the role:
Responsible for managing and executing the pre-clinical research strategy in support of worldwide product approvals consistent with division goals including the direction, planning, execution, analysis, and interpretation of preclinical research for assigned therapeutic area. Will manage multiple programs, and interface with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruits, coaches and develops organizational talent.

  • Develops and executes organizational and operational policies that affect one or more groups by utilizing technical/professional knowledge and skills.
  • Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).
  • Makes decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve department objectives.
  • Develops, monitors and appropriately adjusts the annual budget for department(s).
  • Responsible for scheduling and resourcing all Preclinical study procedures and ensuring appropriate staffing, oversight of Controlled Drugs.
  • Will work in a highly regulated GLP and Quality system and interface with internal and external auditors.


Required qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of Veterinary Science experience

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experienced people manager
  • Preclinical experience
  • Oversight of Veterinary Technician team
  • Familiarity with surgical preparation and anesthesia monitoring preferred
