About the role:
This Quality Manager works within the Arden Hills Information and Documentation Services (IDS) group, managing professionals responsible for configuring and maintaining product information within the PDM, MES, and ERP systems. This includes managing direct reports from all IDS roles, including the MES modeling team. Focus will be on managing both strategic and daily activities that result in accurate, timely, and compliant, creation, maintenance, change control, and archival/ retrieval of business procedures, product documentation, and documentation that comprises the Device Master Record, Design History File, and Device History Record. This individual should be capable of working with engineering and management from a variety of customer functions to ensure processes and practices are optimized to be proactive and produce desired results for business partners and customers. This position is also responsible for identifying, researching, and implementing opportunities for process improvement that are supportive of department and corporate vision/objectives.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of Arden Hills Operations and Operations Quality organizational goals. 
  • Guide, coach, direct, and develop a high performing team. Provide guidance and training to staff, assist subordinates in attaining career goals, motivate individuals to achieve results, and recruit high-performing team members. 
  • Build relationships with customer groups to enable a culture of partnership and open communication. 
  • Determine appropriate staff levels and schedules.  Work with key partners to understand priorities and plan resource allocation accordingly. 
  • Provide significant guidance regarding technical strategies and approaches; work cross-functionally in identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that supports compliance to the Quality Policy and enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives. 
  • Foster and sustain a culture of continuous improvement, including leading a team of employees in the identification and implementation of changes to systems and processes that result in operation efficiencies and improved customer outcomes.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g., federal/country and regulatory requirements).
  • Assists direct reports and internal customers in interpreting Quality System and product information control procedures.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
  • Minimum of less than one year of direct supervisory experience with a passion for leadership and team development
  • Technical background with a passion for continuous improvement. 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading technical teams 
  • Degree in a technical field
  • Previous work experience in a quality organization 
  • Medical Device or regulated industry experience.
