Senior Data Foundation & Platform Engineer, APAC Digital Tech

Purpose Statement: 

Boston Scientific is building a unified digital ecosystem across APAC to support commercial operations, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. At the core of this transformation is a modern data foundation that connects systems, enables reliable data flow, and supports scalable analytics and future AI capabilities. The Senior Data Foundation & Platform Engineer plays a key role in building and operating this foundation. This role ensures that data is integrated across systems, processed efficiently, and made available in a consistent and reliable manner for business applications, reporting, and advanced analytics. By strengthening the data backbone, this position enables faster decision-making, improved operational efficiency, and a more scalable digital platform across the region.

In this role, you will contribute directly to the data backbone that supports commercial digital platforms across APAC. You will work on integrating data from enterprise systems, building pipelines, and supporting a cloud-based data platform that enables analytics and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Integration & Pipelines

• Build and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Develop API-based integrations and support streaming and batch processing
• Integrate data from CRM, ERP, and commercial systems

Data Platform Operations 

• Support and maintain cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS data lake)
• Monitor data pipelines and ensure reliability and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues

Data Management & Quality 

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Support implementation of data governance practices
• Maintain curated datasets for downstream consumption

Data Enablement 

• Support data availability for reporting, dashboards, and analytics
• Collaborate with business and analytics teams to meet data requirements

Collaboration 

• Work closely with solution architects, software engineers, and data stewardship and analytic teams
• Support integration between data platforms and business applications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• Requires at least 6–7 years of experience in data engineering or data platform development
• Experience with SQL, data processing, and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with API-based integration
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

Preferred Qualifications (Good-to-Have)

• Experience with data lakes or data warehouses
• Experience with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka)
• Experience with tools such as Snowflake or Databricks
• Experience integrating CRM (e.g., Salesforce) or ERP data
• Exposure to BI or analytics tools
