Responsible for providing financial support to Country GM, Country CFO and FP&A Manager to achieve business and financial goals and objectives of Boston Scientific Japan. Drive financial operating mechanism such as Forecast, Strat Plan, AOP, and closing effectively. Drive country-level strategy development and execution by providing robust financial analysis, transparency and future insights.


Strategy Leadership
•Works directly with Country GM, leaders of business units and functions to drive strategy setting, ensure action plan alignment, monitor execution, and analyze results
•Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific


Planning & Forecasting
•Lead financial planning mechanism such as monthly sales/Operating Income forecast, annual plan, and quarterly financial forecast processes
•Provide financial support on 5-year strategic plan


Reporting
•Provide periodic financial reports (e.g. Monthly business report, Sales, PL, Opex, Headcount Report) for total Japan
•Provide financial analysis vs plan, vs forecast, vs past trend, provide commentary on sales, operating expenses and other key financial metrics
•Investigates and reports significant variances to ensure integrity of information and performance against plan and forecast. Work closely with divisions/functions to come up with action plans to achieve target


Projects, Ad hoc initiatives
•Drive continuous improvement of business and financial processes
 

Experience Requirements 
•5 year experience in FP&A roles
•BA/BS in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration and/or MBA preferred
•Solid Accounting skills and experience, CPA preferred
•Fluent in English and Japanese
•Highly efficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
•Ability to establish strong business partnership. Influence and engage people in and outside of own organization to lead to success demonstrating excellent communication with employees of all levels
