About the Role
The Field Inventory Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the availability, accuracy, and compliance of Boston Scientific medical device inventory located in hospitals, consignment accounts, loaner programs, and Sales Representative Assigned Inventory (SRAI). This position partners closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Care, Finance, and Quality teams to optimize inventory performance, support customer needs, and improve operational efficiency across Canada.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local Brampton office at least three days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Manage and reconcile inventory across consignment locations, Sales Representative Assigned Inventory (SRAI), and loaner kits to maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve inventory control.
- Process and validate inventory transactions including shipments, usage reporting, replenishments, returns, and inventory adjustments within SAP S/4HANA.
- Monitor and manage expired, short-dated, excess, obsolete, and recalled inventory while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Sales teams to ensure product availability for scheduled procedures and coordinate urgent inventory requests, transfers, and replenishment activities.
- Generate and analyze inventory performance metrics, including inventory turns, utilization, aging, and variances, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records and ensuring full traceability of medical devices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory optimization, process efficiency, automation, and technology deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, operations, logistics, or related business functions.
- Experience utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in a business environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience analyzing large data sets, identifying trends, and developing recommendations based on operational data.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functional areas including Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Care, and Quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated industry.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or related ERP platforms.
- Knowledge of medical device traceability, inventory controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting consignment inventory, field inventory, or loaner programs.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements that improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive operational improvements.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
