About the role:
The core objective of this role is to support the Regional Sales Manager in achieving the goals of the CRM division. In this field-based sales position, you will be the day-to-day face of the Boston Scientific CRM products to the end users, clinical support staff and hospital administration. Your primary goal is to grow the utilization of new Boston Scientific technologies and support those already established.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the products and services provided by the division and how they can be effectively used in medical procedures. Visit customers and / or potential customers of Boston Scientific on a regular and planned basis to promote products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets, as agreed with your manager.
- Manage and utilize supply agreements and contracts with hospitals and purchasing groups in assigned territory.
- Plan daily and weekly visits to assigned hospitals to develop the market for our existing and new products through presentations, in-services, medical procedure support, and contract negotiations.
- Able to provide technical training and support to customers directly in Operating Rooms and EP Labs as well as support needs of hospital management, purchasing department and other hospital staff.
- Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
- Analyze and report to your manager and/or others regarding market changes, competitive activities, product performance and business feedback
- To represent Boston Scientific values and integrity.
- Participate in development of less experienced staff members.
Required qualifications:
- Education: Minimum achievement of a bachelor’s degree (life/health sciences preferred, Mohawk CVT is a benefit)
- 2+ years of successful sales experience - preferably in selling to surgeons, physicians, and hospital administration.
- Demonstrated ability to absorb technical knowledge quickly and disseminate appropriately to all levels of healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrates solid business and financial skills and understanding.
- Strong communicator and presenter in English, both written and orally.
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
- This position requires travel primarily within the GTA/downtown Toronto area, with occasional travel to other parts of Ontario. Candidates should also be comfortable with some evening and weekend work.
- Competent user of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, both PC and mobile.
- Displays a consistent and positive attitude.
