About the role:
As part of Boston Scientific's Finance Department in Canada, the Senior Internal Controls Analyst supports BSC’s Internal Controls Process. The Senior Internal Controls Analyst interacts with various stakeholders to ensure control adherence/compliance both internally and externally.

 

Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office in Brampton, ON for at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure adherence to internal control policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Creating and updating policies, procedures, and training material related to internal control.
  • Monitoring and auditing to processes to identify potential internal control issues.
  • Providing guidance on internal control requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborating with various departments to address internal control matters.
  • Participate in the design and delivery of internal control training specific to the needs of the organization.
  • Key contact for internal and external audit engagements

 

Required qualifications:

  • University Degree

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • CPA Designation
  • Strong understanding of financial standards, laws, and regulations relevant to the industry and organization
  • Ability to identify and resolve various issues
  • Ability to analyze data and assess potential compliance risks
  • Meticulous attention to details to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in the controls process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex information to various stakeholders
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Strong experience with Office 365 and SAP

Maximum Salary: $131800 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
