Account Manager, Cardiac Rhythm Management (Netherlands)

About the Role

 

As an Account Manager in the Rhythm Management (RM) division, you play a pivotal role in driving the success of Boston Scientific’s Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) portfolio across your designated region in the Netherlands. Reporting to the RM Business Unit Manager, you will execute local sales strategies, manage key accounts, and identify growth opportunities that strengthen our market position.

You will work closely with Field Clinical Specialists (FCS), Strategic Account Managers (SAM), and the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to deliver impactful commercial and clinical outcomes, ensuring our customers receive best‑in‑class support and value.

 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

 

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Execute regional sales strategies aligned with divisional goals and corporate objectives.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance, identify gaps, and define actionable improvement plans.
  • Identify new business opportunities and optimize territory coverage and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to drive initiatives that increase market penetration and expand therapy adoption.

 

Account Management

  • Lead commercial initiatives to drive competitive conversions and increase market share within assigned accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders — clinical, administrative, and commercial.
  • Partner with FCS and cross-functional teams to develop and execute tailored Account Action Plans, integrating both clinical and business perspectives.

 

Opportunity Identification & Growth Development

  • Map decision-making pathways within each account to uncover unmet needs and advance opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of bundled and value-based offerings aligned with customer and system requirements.
  • Engage in events, congresses, and reference-site activities to expand networks and strengthen product positioning.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate closely with the EP team to maximize synergies across the Rhythm Management division.
  • Work with SAMs on strategic key accounts, ensuring messaging consistency and execution alignment.
  • Integrate input from clinical, commercial, and operational teams when building account strategies.

 

Market & Business Insight

  • Monitor healthcare trends, regional policies, and competitive activities to anticipate changes and inform strategy.
  • Provide market insights to internal stakeholders to support forecasting, planning, and strategic decisions.
  • Maintain up-to-date product and therapy knowledge and ensure customers are continuously supported with relevant information.

 

Sales Operations & CRM Usage

  • Ensure accurate and consistent use of Salesforce CRM to track customer interactions, opportunities, and market intelligence.
  • Use CRM data for forecasting, territory analysis, and pipeline management.

 

Quality & Compliance

  • Uphold Boston Scientific’s standards of quality, regulatory compliance, and ethical conduct.
  • Ensure all field activities are performed in accordance with internal policies and industry regulations.

 

 

 

What We’re Looking for in You:

 

Experience & Background

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical sales.
  • Rhythm Management experience is a very welcome plus.
  • Experience in supporting procedures in the operating room is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of the Dutch healthcare ecosystem and customer landscape.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven ability in planning, executing, and delivering sales strategies.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across multiple stakeholder levels.
  • Experience preparing tenders and engaging with procurement and hospital decision-makers.
  • High business acumen with strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English required.
  • Willingness to travel within the region and nationally as needed.
