About the role:
The Field Clinical Specialist Neuromodulation will provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and sales representatives on the effective and safe use of the Neuromodulation products during case procedures.
Your responsibilities include:
- Clinical hospital Support: Under general direction, serve as primary resource for clinical support consisting of tackling a wide range of issues relating to troubleshooting, programming, and patient follow-up for company neuromodulation-products.
- Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using appropriate formats and platforms (e.g., slides, trainings, manuals) to keep all customers abreast of the latest product, therapy, and technology developments and current items of interest in the industry.
- Attend neuromodulation-product implantation-surgeries in the operation rooms of hospital accounts and perform patient follow-up to assure customer and patient success with the implanted products.
- Meet with existing and potential clients to identify their clinical needs, goals and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them to achieve their goals.
- Develops deep understanding on the workflows and specificities of each hospital & business relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through informal conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospital and to identify key decision makers in order to facilitate future sales.
- Respond to complex customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical, research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.
- Clinical Trial Support: Managing and providing technical support for clinical trial activity within the Benelux by supporting the site authorization process and study procedures as defined in the clinical investigational plan.
- Providing initial and continuous training, education and support for clinical center personnel on clinical trial protocol, clinical process, products and features under investigation, and procedures involving those products and features.
- On-call duties may (on occasion) be required 12 hours a day, 5 days per week. Work is driven by Customer demand and pre-planned support requirements.
What we are looking for:
- Medical education (HBO/Bachelor) background, preferably with hospital working experience, preferably with at a couple of years' experience in medical devices industry.
- Strong clinical advising/ educating skills and ability to build credibility with surgeons and OR staff.
- Demonstrated verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details.
- Strong motivation and ability to adapt to flexible working hours and working environment.
- Able to work independently (in a team) and able to work (semi-) autonomously.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both oral and written.
