Empowering Lives, Advancing Innovation
At Boston Scientific, we push the boundaries of Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) to enhance patient outcomes. We are looking for a Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) CRM – a high-potential professional with a strong clinical-technical background and several years of experience in the field. If you're eager to work with pacemakers, ICDs, and heart failure devices, provide expert case support, and build strong relationships with clinicians, this role is for you.
Your Role
As an FCS CRM, you will be at the heart of procedures (wordplay intended 😉), supporting physicians and medical teams in the field. You will provide clinical expertise, troubleshooting, and training while ensuring the optimal use of Boston Scientific’s advanced CRM solutions. You will also play a vital role in educational initiatives and strategic customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- 🩺 Procedural & Technical Support – Be present during implantations and follow-ups, providing expert guidance on pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices. Assist in troubleshooting and ensure the best possible outcomes.
- 📚 Customer Education & Training – Deliver technical and clinical training to physicians, nurses, and hospital staff. Support EduCare and other educational programs.
- 🤝 Relationship Building – Act as a trusted consultant for healthcare professionals, offering insights on CRM solutions and sharing industry intelligence.
- 🔍 Market Insights – Work closely with sales teams to understand hospital workflows, identify opportunities, and support strategic initiatives.
- 📊 Compliance & Documentation – Ensure accurate data collection and maintain compliance with medical and quality regulations.
A Day in the Life
Your day starts early, often on the road early, heading to hospitals for device implementations. You provide expert technical support during procedures, ensuring all materials are ready and assisting physicians for the best patient outcomes. Between cases, you connect with hospital technicians, fellows, and physicians, discussing clinical insights and industry updates.
Beyond procedures, you stay updated on CRM research, support product training, and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Education teams. Travel is essential, sometimes requiring long drives or an overnight stay for early procedures. Despite the dynamic schedule, we prioritize work-life balance, making sure you have time for learning, planning, and personal well-being.
About You
- ✅ Clinical-Technical Background – Experience as a hospital device technician, a field clinical specialist, technical account manager (in MedTech) or similar field. A bachelor’s degree (HBO+) in biomedical sciences or related field is preferred.
- ✅ Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Knowledge – Experience with pacemakers, ICDs, and cardiac devices is a plus.
- ✅ Strong Communication Skills – Able to build trusting relationships with physicians and collaborate effectively with the sales team.
- ✅ Proactive & Independent – You take initiative, think critically, and thrive in a dynamic, field-based environment.
- ✅ Dutch & English Fluency – Essential for communication with customers and internal teams.
