Training and Development Manager

 

About the role: 
The Training and Development Manager exists to improve organizational and leadership effectiveness, to build workforce capabilities to substantially improve business performance and the quality of patient care.  This will be accomplished by effectively developing relevant and timely leadership and organizational interventions, and by leading and managing the end-to-end life cycle of a learning process so as to deliver the right training, to the right people, at the right time, in the right way, personalized and seamlessly.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop skill assessment tools that can be used to measure both learner and program effectiveness.
  • Lead the strategic design and/or implementation of learning solutions that may cross region, business, and/or functional boundaries.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Work to assess organizational needs and teaching methods to continuously improve productivity.
  • Maintain knowledge of the industry and the competition to modify and prioritize training strategies.
  • Responsible for providing continuous tools and education to team members.
  • Ensure all meeting and training materials meet legal requirements.
  • Define training standards and measurement tools to measure performance.
  • Participates in development programs to further their readiness for additional management responsibilities.
  • Spend approximately 70% of time managing training initiatives, 30% of time on special projects and talent development, and 10% of time understanding the current business needs for future training, special projects and programs.

 

What we’re looking for in you:
Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/SS in business discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years developing training strategies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization and with outside vendors/consultants
  • Strong project management experience and strategic thinking skills
  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic, determined and goal oriented
  • Ability to grasp technical content
  • Results-oriented team player
  • Excels in fast-paced, competitive environment
  • Must possess creativity and the ability to think outside the conventional wisdom of a current situation to get a mutually beneficial outcome with those involved.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MA/MS in business discipline or equivalent experience
