About the role:

Working under limited supervision to assist R&D Packaging engineers, and/or teams in packaging development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. Responsible for the coordination and creation of packaging components, technical documentation, and facilitating packaging development and testing activities. This level position requires a high degree of independence.

 Your Key Responsibilities include:

  • Execute assigned tasks for project deliverables
  • Develop solutions and contribute to initial packaging design, testing, and process concepts
  • Responsible for review and Change Notice activities for the approval and release of labeling, Instructions for Use, and other packaging components
  • Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to miscellaneous packaging components based on pre-existing formats and design
  • Develop solutions and contribute to initial packaging design, testing, and process concepts
  • Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/test samples per engineering instructions.
  • Assist project teams in establishing packaging specifications and quality standards.
  • Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
  • Prepare reports/documentation to communicate results to the technical community
  • Act as a resource to other employees.
  • Communicate project status to project teams.

 What we are looking for in you:

Minimum requirements:

  • AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related technical discipline
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are necessary in order to act as a liaison between engineering, production, marketing, purchasing, and other functional team members
  • Interest in the packaging engineering field
  • 3 years related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS Degree of equivalent work experience in related technical discipline
  • Design control/Change Request process experience
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience working with cross-site, cross-cultural, and cross-functional  teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects independently
