About the role:

Contributes electrical engineering expertise at various steps of product development, manufacturing transfer, regulatory approval and sustaining; develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Independently or within a team defines, develops, and executes plans for major segments of complex projects by applying advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Compiles and analyzes operational, test, and research data to establish technical specifications for new, previously designed, or modified products. Provides technical representation for the company with physicians and other members of the scientific and medical device community. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical concepts and applications. Provides technical expertise across multiple corporate divisions; assesses potential   leveraging opportunities of new technologies.


Your responsibilities include:


  • Participate or lead in the conception, architecture, and development of new or next generation products and technologies.   Assess the feasibility of proposed products and technologies.
  • As staff specialist to project teams, develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects to be  carried out by self or others.
  • Translating customer unmet needs into actionable user and system technical requirements, supporting platform architectures, and associated project execution plans.
  • Providing technical leadership and oversight of diverse, distributed teams of engineers in development of complex electronic systems and software from concept to release.
  • Translating highly technical results into easily understood recommendations that will influence senior stakeholders.
  • With requirements decomposition, writing, management, verification, and validation. Driving complex electronic systems design as well as project leadership.
  • Having gone through several complete product development cycles, from concept to commercialization.

What we’re looking for:


Required Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineering field and 10 years of experience in implantable medical devices.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, and 12 years of experience in implantable neurostimulators.
