About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Patient and Physician Engagement Manager to join our Downstream marketing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies that effectively engage both patients and physicians. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of healthcare industry knowledge, marketing expertise, and strong interpersonal skills.

 

As our Patient and Physician Engagement Manager, you will lead efforts to create targeted marketing plans, develop compelling content, conduct market research, and build strategic relationships within the market. Your ability to translate complex product features into clear benefits for both patients and physicians will be crucial. You will also play a key role in evaluating and optimizing promotional plans and product launch strategies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop targeted marketing plans: Create specific marketing plans and activities for products to enhance their positioning within the competitive healthcare market, focusing on patient and physician engagement.
  • Content creation and communication: Develop compelling content and marketing communications tailored to various audiences, including patients and physicians, effectively translating product features into understandable benefits.
  • Market research and customer needs identification: Oversee market research to identify patient and physician needs, using these insights to inform marketing strategies and product development.
  • Strategic relationship building: Develop and broaden strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales field, patients, physicians, and healthcare organizations.
  • Data-driven strategy development: Utilize data, insights, and business acumen to formulate actionable marketing strategies that resonate with both patients and physicians.
  • Promotional plan evaluation: Assess promotional plans to ensure they effectively convey the product's benefits to patients and physicians, stimulating interest and partnership.
  • Launch strategy optimization: Evaluate and refine product launch strategies to ensure proper positioning and effective communication of benefits to both patient and physician audiences.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Lead mediation discussions with stakeholders to gain alignment on approaches, processes, and deliverables, ensuring all marketing efforts support patient and physician engagement.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in marketing, business development, or a related field
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns and content in the healthcare sector.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and market research methodologies to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and strategies, including social media, content marketing, and SEO.
  • Exceptional relationship-building abilities and experience in stakeholder management across diverse groups.

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, medical terminology, and current trends in patient care and physician practices.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements related to marketing and patient communication.

 

The anticipated annualized base pay range this full-time position working at this location will be from [$84,000 to $159,600], plus variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements) and the value of core and optional employee benefits being offered at Boston Scientific (BSC), which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. BSC considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs. Actual compensation may be otherwise adjusted if the position is filled outside of the intended geographic location.
