Principal Planner, Global Supply Chain Planning
 

About the Role:
 

Boston Scientific, a global leader in innovative medical solutions, is seeking a Principal Planner to join our Global Supply Chain Planning team. As the Principal Planner, you will play a pivotal role in growth of our product lines supporting the Neuromodulation Division within Boston Scientific.

You will have the exciting opportunity to serve our patients by being a global supply chain planning leader for the Interventional Spine Franchise and scale the expansion of its products globally. Your Responsibilities Include:
 

  • Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP): Lead SIOP process for the Interventional Spine Franchise, which is central to our growth strategy.
  • Demand Management: Use statistical forecasting tools to generate demand forecasts for finished goods manufacturing. Drive alignment between commercial, finance and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Supply Management: Collaborate with global sourcing, external suppliers, and internal manufacturing to create build plans to meet the demand forecasts.
  • Inventory Management: Set safety stocks using statistical safety stock tools and manage global allocation of finished goods inventory. Identify gaps (excess or deficit) and work with appropriate stakeholders to ensure service to our customers.
  • GSC Planning Business Partner: Represent your function in franchise leadership meetings within the Neuromodulation business. Represent Boston Scientific in discussions with external suppliers to secure finished goods builds, on-time deliveries and long-term supply.
  • Company-wide Global Supply Chain Initiatives: Participate and lead strategic projects to improve global supply chain organization.
     

What We’re Looking For:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or any other relevant discipline
  • 7+ years’ experience in supply chain, materials management, or manufacturing planning
  • Proven track record of managing global supply chain planning, specifically demand forecasting, statistical planning methods and management of external suppliers.
  • Knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response or similar advanced planning system would be beneficial.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly in leveraging it for analytics and insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and foster a collaborative learning environment within the team.
     

The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position working at this location will be from $100,700 to $191,300, plus variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements) and the value of core and optional employee benefits being offered at Boston Scientific (BSC), which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. BSC considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs. Actual compensation may be otherwise adjusted if the position is filled outside of the intended geographic location.
