About the role:

We are looking for a Product Manager II who will be responsible for managing new and existing products within the Spinal Cord Stimulation Franchise within the Neuromodulation division of Boston Scientific. This individual should have well-developed skills in product management, voice of customer, cross functional communication, and follow through. Responsible for all aspects of the product, from the product exploratory phase to the development phase, and throughout the product lifecycle.

 

The Product Manager represents the "voice of the customer" and supports making data-driven decisions on the product including defining product requirements, creating compelling business cases, launch strategy and more. The Product Manager serves as the product subject matter expert across the business and champions the product, trains and advises others. 


This position involves close interaction with other Product Managers, R&D leaders, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Service, Sales, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and key customers globally. Responsibilities will include day-to-day product management supporting new product development and launch activities as well as supporting our global sustaining business portfolio.  

 

This individual will champion product commercialization activities across both internal and external stakeholders such as global supply chain, regulatory, quality, and technical communications and will collaborate closely with the international commercial sales and marketing teams. 
This person must be detail-oriented, comfortable juggling multiple changing priorities, committed to managing and influencing across multiple stakeholders, and driven to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Experience with medical devices, and/or pharmaceutical industry experience is strongly preferred.

 

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Owns and leads all product aspects relating to the assigned products, from product inception to launch and throughout the lifecycle of the product.
  • Develops a deep understanding of customer needs, market and trends, competition and reimbursement landscape and leverage those to make data-driven decisions for assigned products/product-line (new product ideas, product enhancements, modifications etc.).
  • Represents the "voice of the customer" and the business needs for assigned products throughout the organization and with the cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, RA, Operations etc.).
  • Owns the product value proposition and associated claims. Collaborates with downstream marketing on the content for product marketing materials including educational, sales and marketing tools.
  • Responsible for market analysis and competitors’ landscape (including pricing, positioning, product offering and sales channels).
  • Coordinating the assigned products’ activities in a multi-functional organization; including marketing, sales, operations, engineering, and services teams, while ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the definition of the long-term strategy and roadmap for the relevant product lines as well as marketing strategy for the specific products including collaborating on clinical and economical evidence strategy, KOL strategy and training activities.
  • Communicate proactively to all stakeholders, managing expectations, timelines, and logistics.
  • Develops relationships and builds credibility with key internal cross-functional stakeholders. 
  • Interfacing with key opinion leaders and HCP customers, patient customers and sales/economic buyer customers to identify areas of focus and prioritization; facilitate pipeline discussions. 
  • Collaborate with vendors to finalize, organize, and achieve deliverable assets.
  • Support cross-functional teams (including Product Marketing, Global Supply Chain, Regulatory, Quality, Project Management, Technical Communications, International Commercial teams, as well as with external vendor partners) to gain approval and launch.
  • Responsible for product monitoring and enhancements post release as part of sustaining activities – working with sustaining engineering to define priority.
  • Be the Product Champion! Instill a sense of excitement about our products within the organization, with our customers and the relevant community as a whole.

 

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (life science, engineering, or related field preferred)
  • Advanced degree, or MBA preferred. 
  • 3+ years of product marketing/product management experience, preferably in medical devices.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment and familiarity with medical device, and/or pharmaceutical industry
  • Medical device industry experience preferred.
  • Previous global launch experience preferred.
  • Ability to complete assignments of an advanced degree of complexity, working under little or no supervision on specific tasks or projects.
  • Well-developed skills in planning, communications, and follow-up.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented, comfortable juggling multiple changing priorities, committed to managing multiple stakeholders, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others in a dynamic, matrix environment.
  • Strong analytic and strategic thinking ability.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills.
  • Comfortable working in Excel with ability to create and maintain forecasts, templates, business cases, and project plans.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Work with a global mindset.
  • Occasional travel, up to 20%, may be required.

​​​​​​​The anticipated annualized base pay range this full-time position working at this location will be from $81,900 to $155,600 plus variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements) and the value of core and optional employee benefits being offered at Boston Scientific (BSC), which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com.  At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. BSC considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location.  Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.  Actual compensation may be otherwise adjusted if the position is filled outside of the intended geographic location.
