About the role:

We are looking for a Product Manager III who will be responsible for integrating an exciting new product line into our PAIN Stim Product Portfolio. This is a defined-term position of up to 24 months. 

As a member of the Upstream Marketing Team, this role is critical to accelerating innovation through integration while maintaining patient safety, regulatory compliance and product quality. This Product Manager ensures acquired technologies are seamlessly and responsibly integrated into our medical device portfolio, turning strategic investments into safe, effective products for patients.

This individual should have well-developed skills in product management, voice of customer, cross-functional communication, and should be driven to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Experience with Product Requirement Documents, User Needs, Use Flows, Usability Testing, and Good Documentation Practice is essential. The manager will also need to develop a deep understanding of the Product’s current use case, customers, and current and future market dynamics as well as the competitive landscape.

This position involves close interaction with other Product Managers, R&D leaders, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Service, Sales, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and key customers globally. Responsibilities will include day-to-day product management supporting product integration activities as well as supporting the product’s sustaining activities as a part of the integration initiative.  This individual serves as the product subject matter expert, represents the "voice of the customer" and supports making data-driven decisions across both internal and external stakeholders.

Experience with medical devices, and/or pharmaceutical industry experience is strongly preferred.

 

Work Mode:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the planning and execution of a complex new Product Portfolio integration program.
  • Lead "voice of the customer" and represent business needs for assigned integration products throughout the organization and with the cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, RA, Operations etc.)
  • Lead day-to-day product integration operations with focus on fully integrating Peripheral Nerve Stimulation products within the Pain Stim portfolio.
  • Partner with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, IT, Clinical, Operations and other cross-functional teams to integrate acquired technologies into the medical device portfolio while ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards and internal quality systems
  • Product Hierarchy, part number creation, and product consolidation as needed.
  • Product Packaging & Re-branding activities as needed.
  • Demand Planning for assigned products.
  • User Needs creation and complaint documentation.
  • Collaborate to develop and update product labeling/IFUs.
  • EU MDR Product Readiness.
  • Develop and execute global multi-year, integration product strategy for the PainStim business portfolio, with primary focus on Peripheral Nerve Stimulation.
  • Support design reviews, phase-gate reviews and regulatory submissions related to integrated hardware and software products.
  • Drive issue resolution and decision-making across organizational boundaries.
  • Support cross-functional teams (including R&D, Global Supply Chain, Regulatory, Quality, Project Management, Technical Communications, International Commercial teams, as well as with external vendor partners) through integration workstreams
  • Collaborates with downstream marketing to drive innovative marketing solutions for assigned products, programs and tools to create value and support the needs of the Sales Team during Integration process
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (life science, engineering, or related field preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful related business experience, including a minimum of 2 years prior Product Management experience, including strategic commercialization
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment and familiarity with medical device, and/or pharmaceutical industry
  • Comfortable working in Excel with ability to create and maintain forecasts, templates, business cases, and project plans.
  • Occasional travel, up to 20-30%, may be required.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others in a dynamic, matrix environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills.

Maximum Salary: $186000 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
