About this role:
Responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis for the $1B global Neuromodulation Division. Prepares financial plans and forecasts based on performance expectations. Gathers, analyzes and publishes financial information related to historical, current and future performance. Performs financial analysis utilizing appropriate financial concepts and techniques. Provides insights based on analysis and recommends alternative courses of action.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for SG&A expense supporting International and Domestic Deep Brain Stimulation and Pain franchise results.
- Cultivate an understanding of the markets and our business including the disease states and conditions we serve, our market size and competitive landscape, and our strategy and our product and service solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with key business partners and demonstrate a servant leadership style.
- Develop and maintain high proficiency with necessary corporate systems to effectively manage financial data and information.
- Maintain well-controlled, accurate, consistent and current financial data and financial hierarchies that represent the current business model.
- Develop detailed financial forecast models based on historical trends and current inputs.
- Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by providing variance analysis with insights and using system generated detail and trend reports.
- Assist in month-end close to ensure proper accounting at the functional & department levels.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance and providing insights related to current operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis, as directed by management, and recommend alternatives courses of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools (e.g. NPV, IRR, ROIC analysis).
- Evaluate new business opportunities, potential acquisitions, new products, and investment initiatives by modeling alternative financial scenarios (e.g. revenues and profitability).
- Prepare sensitivity analysis on revenue, expenses and profitability by modeling changes in key variables.
Required Qualifications:
- Career-oriented financial professional with demonstrated career progression in a large, complex multi-national business
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3+ years of experience in a finance function
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint required
- Strong analytical and process skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork with highly professional style
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities/execute in a high-paced, global organization
- Able to assertively engage with internal and external customers

The anticipated annualized base pay range this full-time position working at this location will be from $69,000 to $131,000, plus variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target2 (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements) and the value of core and optional employee benefits being offered at Boston Scientific (BSC), which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. BSC considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs. Actual compensation may be otherwise adjusted if the position is filled outside of the intended geographic location.
