About the role
This position is responsible for the development and execution of clinical and commercial strategies for new Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) indications. The person will lead a small team of downstream marketing personnel to provide vision, strategy, and execution of commercial product launches and pull-through. 


 
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and leads execution on commercial strategies that clearly defines product positioning, key issues, strategies, and target audiences for DBS New Therapy products
  • Pre-launch market assessment:  partner with Product Marketing colleagues to gather KOL feedback, validate assumptions and support the definition of customer targeting, segmentation and message definition. Identify and define requirements for market development programs to support the introduction of new technologies.
  • Pre-launch market conditioning:  engage KOLs in pre-launch activities (may include participation in expert meetings, pre-launch product evaluations, collection of specific voice of customer feedback, preparation and delivery of sales force training activities)
  • Works with outside partners to insure clinical studies are driven to completion to support regulatory requirements, publications, and presentations of the resulting clinical information
  • Develop strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders
  • Work with sales leadership and sales stakeholders on resources needed to execute product adoption in the field.
  • Collaborates with marketing colleagues on integrated marketing business plan deliverables for assigned programs
  • Collaborate with clinical affairs and clinical marketing product management on building an influential medical evidence plan to support field sales and marketing efforts
  • Works with marketing communications to support development of launch materials, product literature, and any other collateral material required to support sales and key marketing messages
  • Serves as leader of physician product planning advisory board for DBS New Therapy Products
  • Drives market development activities through establishment of best practices and development of market development tools to raise awareness of the benefits of assigned product(s)
  • Builds strong relationships with global teams to ensure successful launch of new sites / new products

 


What we’re looking for in you

  • 4 year degree required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of marketing experience or experience in developing new indication from clinical to commercialization.  Health care experience required; medical device experience preferred.
  • Experience with strategic product planning, clinical studies and commercial execution
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization as well as work cross-functionally
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including internationally
