About the role:

The Medical Writer is responsible for the preparation of documents that support Clinical and Regulatory submissions in BSC Neuromodulation Division. Additionally, the Medical Writer will also assist in the preparation of documents to support the presentation of BSC clinical and scientific data at conferences, advisory boards etc.

The Medical Writer will possess medical writing experience, understanding of scientific research methodologies, analytical skills and technical knowledge of products and processes to author clinical study protocols, clinical study reports, Clinical Evidence Reports (CER), Clinical Study Reports (CSR) and abstracts/ peer-reviewed articles. As a member of the Clinical Sciences group, the Medical Writer will interact with cross-functional teams including R&D, Regulatory, Marketing and other teams at BSC.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical Content creation including authorship of clinical study protocols, Clinical Study Reports CSR), Clinical Evidence Reports (CER), Clinical content will focus on answering  key clinical questions within and outside of the United States.
  • Author manuscripts and abstracts for submission and publication in peer reviewed scientific journals. Author slide presentations, and poster presentations for scientific meetings/congresses worldwide.
  • Conducts proofreading, editing, document formatting, reviewer comments integration and document completion / approval activities
  • Responsible for executing literature searches and for reading, analysing and summarizing medical literature
  • Presents scientific data by communicating accurate, succinct summaries of clinical study work as needed.
  • Interacts with Clinical team members inlcuding clinical  project managers and biostatisticians. Collaborates with other groups (i.e. R&D, Regulatory) inside of BSC, as needed.
  • Helps in registering trials on ClinicalTrials.gov as needed
  • Remains current with medical developments and publications on similar and competitor products.
  • Ensures that accurate, high-quality documents are prepared on schedule.

 

What we’re looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master of Science with 3+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor of Science with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Up to 3-5 years of experience in scientific/medical writing, preferably experience with medical devices
  • Experience with analyzing and summarizing scientific data in medical device

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD and/or MD appreciated but not required
  • Computer Skills (EndNote, Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Ability to write independently with minimal input and produce clean final product
