About the Role
The Sr. Group Marketing Manager (GMM) will be responsible for developing and driving key marketing and business objectives for the US Movement Disorders DBS portfolio while providing global strategy targeting the ~$1B worldwide market.  Key will be developing a strategy that allows for rapid share gain during the product launch phase while developing strategies and tactics to grow this highly underpenetrated market.  Key activities for the GMM include contributing in setting strategic direction for the global business, meeting revenue & profitability targets globally, building a high-performance marketing team and working cross-functionally to integrate marketing strategies with R&D, operations, clinical, reimbursement and sales. 


Your responsibilities include

  • Develop and execute a multi-year, integrated commercial plan for US DBS, ensuring alignment with the Global Brain Franchise, and the Neuromodulation Strategic Plan.  Drive execution of commercial plan to obtain identified franchise revenue, profitability, and budget objectives.
  • Establish positioning and messaging for the US DBS Franchise and identify and execute tactics to build the brand.  Partner with global marketing leaders to ensure consistency across geographies.
  • Lead US Commercial Launch plans (positioning, customer targeting, pricing, branding, evidence strategy, KOL strategy, etc.) for the Movement Disorders DBS portfolio.
  • Partner with global marketing and cross-functional counterparts to plan and execute commercial strategies and programs.
  • Lead the development of multi-channel marketing strategies including digital strategies aimed at physician customers and patients to raise Boston Scientific brand awareness while growing the overall therapy adoption.
  • Effectively lead team of marketing product managers to achieve excellent performance in downstream marketing activities and product management. 
  • Coach teams to develop simple, differentiated concise messages and to create innovative downstream marketing solutions, programs and tools to create value and drive preference.
  • In collaboration with Clinical Marketing, Clinical and R&D gains insights on both BSC and competitive clinical studies to formulate articulate and concise marketing material to convey the BSC competitive advantage.
  • Establish in-depth knowledge of Neuromodulation business environment; provide insights in the formulation of the US Annual Operating Plan (AOP) market and revenue forecasting.
  • Identify and communicate competitive threats and opportunities for the franchise and lead competitive action / response plans.  
  • In collaboration with Upstream Marketing, Marketing Strategy & Analysis, gathers customer and market insights to inform key decisions and marketing strategies.
  • Work with colleagues in key functional areas, including R&D, sales, reimbursement, supply chain, clinical, med affairs, and regulatory to drive business objectives.
  • Spend time in the field to gain market and clinical insights, and build relationships with key physicians to drive education, market adoption and innovation of BSC products.


What we’re looking for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Engineering, Science, Healthcare/Biomedical)
  • Advanced degree (Masters/MBA) preferred
  • 5+ years of medical device marketing experience
  • Experience planning and managing product launches
  • An individual that is highly motivated with an action-oriented mindset
  • Exceptionally strong collaboration skills coupled with a “team-first” and “patient-first” leadership philosophy
  • Track record of success leading cross-functionally and with global partners to develop plans, strategies and tools to maximize sales potential
  • Demonstrated experience developing and giving presentations to internal and external customers including sales teams, physicians, hospital service line administrators, and executives
  • Travel – approximately 25-50%
