About the role 

  • Plan, diagnose and direct global case support for all aspects of the implant procedure in conjunction with sales staff and senior management.  Regions for this role include all regions except Europe and US.  This would include; training and support of new sales staff or new centers during early implant phases, product evaluations, permanent implants, diagnosis and trouble shooting and explants support.
  • Support and lead technical and anatomical discussions with physicians, support personnel, government and administration bodies to build awareness of Spectra/Montage/Novi/ Wavewriter and next generation technologies to establish clear differentiation in the market working in conjunction with the central team, regional sales and sales management teams.
  • Liaison between regions and central SCS team regarding training, messaging, product positioning, launch strategy/techniques and SCS technology
  • Liaison between regional sales team and physicians and the company regarding detailed technology issues.  This encompasses post market studies, trouble shooting, training, and new technology.
  • Neuromodulation is a fast growing division for Boston Scientific focused on chronic pain and deep brain stimulation.  As member of the division, this person is expected to be team player, a dynamic self starter that is looked upon across all employees of BSC as example of integrity and business acumen.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Influences regional selling organizations to ensure appropriate training, tactics, sales execution and headcount investment
  • Works cross-functionally and cross-regionally in the management and execution of commercial projects – including new country entry, new product launches, new global campaigns
  • Plans and drives expansion and market entry projects to include pricing, positioning, promotion, forecasting and training in partnership with franchises and local leadership.
  • Interacts/manages the relationship with global KOL’s
  • Evaluates and assesses the developmental/skill needs of staff on a continuous basis to ensure appropriate competencies exist to meet business goals
  • Interacts with multiple level associates from global organizations to sponsor market expansion and growth
  • Interfaces with clients and customers regarding new and improved products
  • Interacts with global / regional sales, marketing, regulatory, operations and clinical teams to achieve objectives

Training/Field Education:

  • Conduct one on one education and training with regional team (Field clinical engineers, sales team) and physicians and staff.
  • Aid regional teams and Physicians with DBS technology
  • Literature Searches
  • Boston Scientific technology

Global region marketing/commercial support:

  • Responsible for ensuring launch strategy in place, product positioning, messaging and campaigns are utilized
  • Liaison with regional clinical, technical and commercial team.

Sales Assistance:

  • Assist Sales to identify and target physicians

 

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Bachelors’ degree required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales or marketing with implantable devices
  • Preferred: 7 years Field experience supporting electronic and/or active implantable medical devices
  • Human physiology, physician and hospital practices, basic computer user skills, O.R. etiquette
  • Fluent in Spanish - Preferred

Physical environment/working conditions:

  • Travel to Hospitals and Physician’s Clinics
  • 50% international travel (all regions outside of the US and EU)
