Supply Chain Planner III

About the Role
:

 At Boston Scientific, the Supply Chain Planner III will own a product portfolio within the Neuromodulation global supply chain team, leading activities to ensure finished goods inventory is appropriately forecasted, built, and maintained to support global demand. In addition, they will work closely with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Finance, and Production to develop forecasts and create plans to meet service-level goals and support revenue growth. Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators and coordinates cross functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives. Helps to drive end to end thinking and agility across value streams with the end customer in mind.
 

Your Responsibilities Includes:

  • Product Demand Planning: Lead forecast development at the product family/SKU levels via collaboration with cross-functional partners; manage forecast system inputs and improve forecast accuracy/reduce forecast bias.
  • Facilitate monthly SI&OP process/meetings and create PowerPoint presentation decks for demand planning and net requirements; independently collaborate with global planning teams to understand drivers of build requirement changes and clearly communicate them to manufacturing or SFMD partners.
  • Identify and monitor performance to forecast by utilizing GSC key performance indicators and reporting tools.
  • Work closely with manufacturing partners in ensuring product build plans & delivery schedules are appropriately aligned to global inventory needs. Identify gaps between financial, production and consensus demand plans and collaborate with appropriate cross functional teams to mitigate the gaps.
  • Assist with and in some cases own team projects & other initiatives such as new product launches, end-of-life planning, distribution network changes and country expansions.
  • Contribute to the development of inventory plans. Monitor inventory performance to plan and target. Assist GSCM with the management of expired, excess, and obsolescence reserves.
  • Collaborates with Regional or Country Planners in ensuring their demand plans are accurate and inventory is appropriately managed/balanced across multiple DC sites.

 

What We’re Looking For: 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in Supply Chain, Supply planning, Production, Inventory management or related functions
  • Working experience with systems such as MRP, SAP, ERP
  • Strong PC skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Consistently performs to a high level of accuracy and with a high attention to detail.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills: able to efficiently use data to make good decisions.
  • Strong communication skills: able to present information to varying levels of an organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in the medical device or biotech industry
  • Preferred experience using SAP, Rapid Response/Kinaxis, or other ERP systems.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Finance, Distribution Centers, International offices, Suppliers, Manufacturing)

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
