About the role
The Vice President, Marketing will establish a vision for the organization and develop key marketing and business objectives for the division globally.  Enable the organization to meet its goals and visions.  Energize the organization by driving change to support strategic direction focused on customers, patients, shareholders, and employees.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the global commercial strategic marketing strategy for the three PAIN franchise businesses: Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS), Vertiflex and Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA).  
  • The creation, management, and use of innovative commercial capabilities like DTC patient marketing, which includes DTP efforts, Digital Health Enterprise creation and Therapy Awareness Program & Representation to deliver and drive referral awareness, acceptance and advocacy. 
  • The creation and management of a new commercial services strategy that provides customer value beyond the device implant.  
  • Partnering with a cross-functional team in the creation of a product and clinical data pipeline
  • Leverages cross-franchise/functional knowledge and collaboration with product development, clinical and commercial teams to influence accelerated growth.
  • Execution of our commercial strategy throughout the globe in a safe, effective and productive manner. Expanding into new geographical markets.
  • Develops annual and long-term objectives with direct reports ensuring alignment with the franchise driving intended impact.  Measures performance of direct reports against success criteria and provides feedback.  Builds executive talent and sponsors future leaders.
  • Aligns franchise activities and investments to deliver against the integrated strategy and plan.
  • Communicates integrated marketing strategies and plans within the franchise as well as across franchises and functions.
  • Develops the vision for the franchise and its contribution to the achievement of BSC objectives.  Deploys cross-divisional and corporate system/process knowledge when appropriate to support execution.
  • Pursues, recommends and champions acquisitions for the franchise and the division.
  • Supports/Drives significant system modifications/changes.  Ensures global communication and coordination of key marketing choices.  Ensures integrated development of global business plans and strategies within the franchise as well as cross-franchise.
  • Leverages cross-franchise/functional knowledge in franchise/industry to influence complex business decisions.
  • Monitors internal systems, making changes to improve organizational efficiency when appropriate.
  • Demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.  Understands and complies with all regulations governing the quality systems.


What we’re looking for in you

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • An advanced degree (Masters, MBA, MD, PhD) is preferred
  • 10+ years of medical device marketing experience preferred
  • 5+ years of management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to create, manage and use innovative commercial capabilities like DTC patient marketing and Therapy Awareness Program to deliver and drive referral awareness, acceptance, and advocacy
  • An individual that is highly motivated with an action-oriented mindset
  • Proven track record around employee coaching and development
  • Strong collaboration and ability to work cross-functionally and cross-divisionally
  • 30-40% travel is required
