About the role 
The Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining electronic medical equipment offered by Boston Scientific. Services are predominantly provided for customers in hospitals, outpatient facilities, and physician’s offices.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Fully support the Quality Policy by building quality into all aspects of the incumbent's work and by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements (including but not limited to being current on all training requirements for the incumbent's position and documenting that training).
  • System installation.
  • Preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Equipment upgrades.
  • Electronic troubleshooting & component replacement.
  • In-servicing/training biomedical and medical personnel.
  • Presenting Service Program options and value proposition.
  • Reporting of field activities.
  • Mentoring colleagues and special projects as assigned.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 75%

 
Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or college degree in electrical/biomedical engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience handing calibration and servicing of electromechanical devices.
  • Able to work independently and responsibly with some supervision & manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Excellent computer networking, equipment troubleshooting, administrative and communication skills.
  • Familiar with all standard electronic test equipment, including Digital Multi-Meters and safety analyzers.
  • Flexible to accept the customer queries and ready to travel as and when required.
  • A valid driver’s license.

 
Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience with medical devices.
  • Experience in MS Excel, Word and on tools like Service Max.
  • Bilingual in English and French 

 


Pay Grade Range: 61K – 120.8K
Target Pay Range: 75K – 85K


At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the Pay Grade Range. BSC considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position.  Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
