Purpose

 

  • Provide support to the business/program regarding change management and stimulate awareness, alignment, and adherence to the change management plan that is developed, maintained and owned by this role. Provide change expertise when the organization is undergoing the changes. Partner closely with program managers and organizational change agents, such as Communications, HR and local project teams to execute change management tactics.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Support the business and the change management manager in execution of the change management strategy and plan
  • Develop, maintain, drive and execute change management project plans in collaboration with key project stakeholders
  • Help leaders share the big picture with employees through compelling information and personal narrative
  • Provide guidelines and tools to managers to run team dialogues about change and help their teams to translate change initiatives into concrete, relevant actions
  • Creates opportunities for stakeholders to guide change through participation in forums, discussions, in-person town halls, small group sessions, etc.
  • Sustain support for change over time by relying on tactics that create peer support
  • Provide relevant information to employees that allows them to make their own decisions in line with desired change objectives
  • Monitor external and internal environment for potential threats to successful change implementation and flags them to Change management manager
  • Provide direct support and coaching to front-line managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.
  • Ensure adequate change orientation, education and training and preparation of the individuals to allow them to be able to deliver change
  • Partner with the Communications team to stay aligned on change management plans & consistent messaging
  • Awareness of the diverse existence of local legislation with regards to Works Council/Union/Employee consultation processes and the potential impact by change management
  • Collaborate with and provide input to the Communications and HR teams with regards to content of announcement, FAQ and talk track
  • Escalate any potential risk to the Change management manager that cannot be addressed on a local project level.
  • Connect local teams by sharing experiences and leverage expertise and lessons learned

 

Profile Requirements

  • Solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • You are a self-starter that thrives in the face of challenge. You are relentless in clearing obstacles with a resourceful and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively with general guidance on new projects.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work with technical and non-technical audiences; as well as, communicate as effectively to individual contributors as you do with management
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with varied stakeholders
