About the role:

Boston Scientific Corporation (BSC) is currently seeking a Senior IT Manager to lead a dedicated team for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.  This person will report to the regional IT Director and ensure that the team is meeting the operational goals such as project and financial management.  He/she will assure the Business Partner receives an excellent level of IT support as an important element in attaining Business goals.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Manage a portfolio of projects, IT investments and other internal improvement initiatives that meet the needs of key stakeholders and provide business value for the EMEA region
  • Develops direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, applying progressive disciplinary action as appropriate and conducting formal written and verbal performance reviews
  • Drive IT Transformation across the IT Supply Chain team
  • Drive innovative use of technology across the enterprise for the global supply chain
  • Manage IT financials for the regional worth several million dollars
  • Serve as IT liaison to various business partners across EMEA with a heavy focus on business owners for current portfolio (primarily focused on sales and marketing)
  • Ensure corporate standards are met for project execution and application development and management
  • Oversee the health and technical longevity of existing applications owned by region
  • Leverage / engage other IT leaders to help you accomplish your mission or as a point of escalation where needed

What we're looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to work equally well with senior IT management and senior business management with strong executive presence
  • 3-7 years team leadership experience within an IT environment, with direct employee and manager management responsibilities
  • 10+ years IT experience including project execution, application management, application development and related areas
  • 3+ years Life Sciences or Medical Device industry experience
  • 3+ years program management experience
  • 3+ years vendor management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Self-driven professional with excellent personal time management skills, presentation skills, and communication skills
  • Experience with various software development lifecycle methodologies in a large organization
  • Strong Financial Acumen
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
