EMEA Multichannel Marketing Manager, Neuromodulation

 

Boston Scientific is undergoing a digital and multi-channel transformation, and this role is a newly created position to help the Neuromodulation division develop and implement a multi-channel approach to customers & patients.  The role will support the division overall, Deep Brain Stimulation / Spinal Cord Stimulation and Radio Frequency.

 

This individual can develop and communicate a clear vision as to how our business may accelerate growth through effective use of channels, with a focus on customers & patients. The person should be motivated to lead efforts in customer-journey mapping, closed loop marketing, and content/community management as needed.

 

The chosen candidate will report into the EMEA Neuromodulation marketing management team and will have significant interaction with the EMEA Product Marketers, Integrated Marketing Communications, as well as Market Access and the Global division. This person will lead a team of 2 multichannel specialists and 2 interns.

 

The role can be based in any of the following hubs: Milan ( Italy) , Madrid ( Spain), Ratingen ( Germany), Hemel Hempstead ( UK), Voisins-le-Bretonneux (France)

 

Key Responsabilities:

  • Set the vision and defines the strategies for multichannel marketing incl. recommending new channels to create competitive advantage and identifies content opportunities
  • Understand mindset/behavior of physicians, patients and payers and key barriers to adoption to be able to effectively incorporate insights into the development of campaigns and promotions.
  • Drive strategy and implementation of market strategy to build disease state awareness and therapy preference through digital and other channels.  Targeted at patients and referring physicians that support the overall EMEA business strategy.
  • Ensure the Patient and Referral Marketing plan is integrated and coordinated with the indication specific plans across indications and throughout the customer journey
  • Oversee multichannel campaign execution across the various channels to ensure results are measured and achieved.
  • Direct the day-today activities and status meetings and daily activities of the internal and external partners who will drive the deliverables
  • Develop a deep understanding of the patient journey including needs, insights and the role of patient communications and support as a critical part of the overall brand communication and marketing mix strategy; identify the need to customize targeting based on geography
  • Monitor key performance metrics and recommend adjustments to strategy/tactics as needed
  • Lead own projects through the legal, regulatory, and medical review process
  • Identify, partner with, and manage appropriate resources (i.e., agency, vendor relationships, other internal departments such as Marcom etc.) to ensure that communication programs meet objectives. In particular focus on:
    • Product Management team to understand and align with the annual marketing plan and strategy and contribute towards the brand objectives
    • Market Access team to optimize overall patient and referral mapping
    • Marketing Communications on content development, tactical creation and execution
    • Medical Education to align on content, indication and associated programs
    • Multichannel CoE to ensure correct implementation of Marketing Cloud and participation at the vision creation of the Connected Customer Ecosystem
    • Digital Communications team for co-development of digital campaigns and  direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns based on customer segmentation and community opportunities through digital and other media approaches.
    • Corp Communications team for development and execution of a comprehensive media strategy that reaches targets in a cost-effective manner
  • Coordinate all cross-functional partners to collectively drive the strategic vision and shared goals created for a successful launch

 

Qualifications:

 

Experience:

  • Fluent in English
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields. Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with multi-channel and content strategic and tactile ownership over a broad range of programs including: digital media, marketing campaigns, cross-media content distribution and management.
  • Deep experience in building valuable brands and managing every phase of the customer journey
  • Outstanding project management skills and experience managing multiple partners (internal/external collaborators)
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in promotions, and ability to comply with industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues
  • Broad marketing experience required across the lifecycle with emphasis on pre-launch and launch in specialty arena
  • Experience developing multi-channel campaigns and programs through all stages from concept to implementation and execution
  • Ability to travel in EMEA approximately 20 % of the time
  • Ideally also experienced in
    • Medical or pharmaceutical marketing, or other regulated field
    • Consumer marketing, disease state education, and clinical support programs
    • Strong patient focus, clinical acumen, and knowledge of engagement along the continuum of care
    • EU or EMEA experience
    • Multicultural patient marketing experience preferred
