Job description Inside Sales Representative

 

Developing a remote selling channel with Inside Sales is one of BSC EMEA key multidivisional initiatives. We are hereby aiming to develop and nurture strong relationships with our customers, through an excellent digital experience, and to grow in currently under-tapped segments.

The key objectives of our Inside Sales Function

 

  • Scale up the inside sales channel as proven, profitable business models
  • Leverage inside sales to penetrate and grow our business in the so-far under-tapped customer segments
  • Continuous improvement of processes to deliver revenue and business objectives profitably and in line with the divisional strategies
  • To consolidate and standardize our various internal inside sales initiatives and leverage their years of learning and data to incorporate best practices into the model
  • To incorporate into our inside sales model, learnings and best practices from external sources and internal precedencies

 

Role & Responsibilities of Inside Sales representative 

 

 

1. Purpose

 

Core purpose of this role is to support the Division in achieving their business goals and objectives by contacting customers through remote channels, mainly telephone and emails.

 

 

2. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Take responsibility of a defined territory with an assigned pool of Boston Scientific customers, including existing and potential accounts. Deliver remote channel contacts with the focus of identifiying business opportunities and to enhance sales results;
  • Proactively contact the assigned customers on a regular basis, mainly by phone, to promote selected products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager;
  • Develop as professional inside sales rep by acquiring working knowledge and selling techniques fundamentals;
  • Use the sales process, available systems and tools to plan, prepare and drive engagement with the customers, get commitment to buy, negotiate and close successful deals. Record the progress in the sales process in CRM tool Salesforce.com;
  • When appropriate and requested, collaborate remotely with field territory managers, to support the management of existing or potential customers;
  • Provide advice and support to assigned customers as well as new customers via remote communication tools, mainly phone and email. Occasionally also via web session or video communication;
  • Establish remote sustainable and business impactful relationship with any actor (e.g. KOL, physicians, head nurses, economic buyers) being part of the decision-making process of medical device procurements;
  • Achieve or exceed a minimum number of contacts to advance the sales process per week as defined with the Inside Sales Manager;
  • Manage and maintain contact and customer information in the CRM tool Salesforce.com by updating and capturing strategic information such as roles & responsibilities, volume & type of procedures and customer preferences;
  • Complete centralized administration tasks relating to all assigned customers (tender, pricing approval, etc.) in collaboration with customer services to provide seamless customer experience;
  • Manage customer complaints and provide the best support to solve problems following the processes and procedures of the company;
  • Take ownership of the shipment to customers of samples, marketing material and any other information required to progress deals and support the customers;
  • Upon request, participate to internal team projects, sales meetings, training programs and conventions;
  • Represent Boston Scientific values and integrity and respect BSC mission, strategy and structure. Understand and comply with policies, quality standards and processes.

 

3. Requirements:

 

  • Demonstrate selling skills or aptitude: is able to identify opportunities within clients and porftolios and execute on their development through analysis, planning, execution and influence. Experiences as Inside Sales, or Field Sales are a plus;
  • Experience in Life Science, Pharm or Med tech Industry is plus
  • Demonstrate marketing and sales acumen through a business mindset and market understanding;
  • Keen to develop the ability to use sales techniques, deal making & negotiating skills in compliance with internal processes;
  • Personal productivity, be driven to deliver on commitments and to respond, in a flexible way, when facing obstacles;
  • Ability to provide clear and impactful communication, verbally and through business writing. Demonstrate strong phone communication skills. Tailor message to target audience and active listening;
  • Planning, organization and prioritization of daily tasks to meet established schedule with guidance of supervisor/manager;
  • Good analytical skills and ability to develop, understand and monitor sales results and analysis using the standard reporting and tools;
  • French (native speaker) and good level of English spoken and written;
  • IT Knowledge with focus on Microsoft Office package. Salesforce.com and SAP  are nice to have;
  • Limited travel may be required, not more than 10 days per year.
