Locations: This role can be based in any of our main EMEA Hubs ( Duesseldorf, Milan, Madrid, Hemel Hempstead, Voisin le Bretonneux or Kerkrade)


About the Role:

We are looking for a solution-oriented attorney who is passionate about using digital technology to provide best-in-class customer experiences and who has 6+ years of experience advising clients in the information technology or digital media and privacy space. In this role, you will collaborate with the business and advise them on interpretation and application of laws, regulations, and best practice related to the delivery of online, mobile and digital products and services to both internal and external customers.  Advice will cover a broad range of legal areas including privacy, data security, consumer protection, health care provider interactions, marketing, promotion, licensing and intellectual property.


Responsibilities include:

  • Meet regularly with business team members in various functions and directly provide legal advice to them on both acute questions and large strategies around use of digital technology and social media;
  • Partner with business to create legally compliant digital platforms that provide optimal user experience;
  • Provide straight-forward, practical, solution-oriented guidance, including risk-mitigation strategies and alternative pathways to move a project forward;
  • Work closely with European Data Privacy Officer to provide advice on proper collection, storage and use of customer and employee data;
  • Conduct compliance reviews of business requirements, products, features, and customer facing content for online, mobile and digital products and services;
  • Collaborate with other in-house attorneys to provide guidance and solutions on marketing to health care providers;
  • Draft and negotiate various types of technology licensing, development, and online services agreements;
  • Draft and implement policies and procedures for compliance related to online, mobile and digital specific laws and regulations;
  • Provide legal advice on electronic disclosure, contracting and signatures;
  • Draft clear and concise notices, disclosures, disclaimers, FAQs, terms of use, policies and other public facing documents; and
  • Review and provide legal input for marketing materials, social media campaigns and physician training and education programs.



  • Experience, either in-house or at a law firm, advising clients on information technology and digital technology compliance with European laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of privacy and data security regulations, including GDPR and ePrivacy, and how they apply to digital marketing and data collection
  • Experience in the medical device or health care sector preferred
  • Must be comfortable working directly with high-energy, innovative business clients;
  • Must be able to operate and make decisions autonomously
  • Qualified to practice law
  • Language:  Fluent in English
